The mother of Charlottesville terror victim, Heather Heyer, was interviewed by Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts on Friday morning. Heyer’s mother, Susan Bro, said she hadn’t watched any news since her daughter died Saturday because along with grieving she was busy arranging Heather’s funeral and setting up a foundation in her honor.

Bro said when she did finally turn on the news she was not pleased. She was especially disgusted when she saw President Trump equating her daughter with the KKK and white supremacist Heyer was protesting that day.

The president and staff have made several attempts to call Ms. Bro, which she said she initially missed in the aftermath of her daughter’s death. When asked if she would accept an apology from the president if he called her again, Bro said she doesn’t want to speak to him at this point. “You can’t wash this away by shaking my hand and saying, “I’m sorry,”” she said.

When Roberts asked if there was something she’d like to say to the president Bro iterated a sentiment much of America wishes Trump would employ: “Think before you speak.”

Imagine how different Trump’s president would be if he thought before he spoke or tweeted. In this regard, Trump has been his own worst enemy.
