Joe Scarborough has had enough and he’s not gonna take it anymore!
The Morning Joe co-host decided to address a Twitter feud he’s been having with incoming New York Times writer Sopan Deb over the weekend on Monday’s show:
The spat started on Sunday with Scarborough taking issue over Deb saying he and co-host, Mika Brzezinski, “partied” with the President-elect on New Year’s Eve at his Mar-A-Lago estate.
Scarborough has maintained that he and Mika were there for roughly a half hour early in the evening and in street clothes, a fact Maggie Haberman confirmed via her source who attended the party. The reason for the December 31st meeting, according to Scarborough, was to discuss getting an interview with the incoming President Trump.
Still not through with having his say on the matter on the show, Scarborough took to Twitter once again Monday morning to continue his beef:
More: Maggie Haberman did not try to contact me before putting me in a story saying I was a "reveler" at Trump's NYE party. I was not. https://t.co/8AxPlkjZpH

Several reporters said you should've called to confirm I was a "reveler" at a party I did not attend, was not invited to & not dressed for. https://t.co/OZXRI7HyKg

Someone showed you a picture. You email and text me when you have questions. You should've done it in this situation and checked your story. https://t.co/KTD4BpcZdo

Of course, fellow reporters began to take notice:
I'm good. I'm not lying about other people or painting their work in a false light so everything's great. https://t.co/hdHic4CNMF

Including fellow NBC hosts:
Yes. I find that people misrepresenting others and lying is indeed corrosive. I know you agree with me that facts matter. https://t.co/qnvDt6xwg6

Sopan Deb is absolutely in the wrong for his mischaracterization of Scarborough and Brzezinski’s appearance during the party, but after making his point Sunday, again on his show Monday morning, and again after the show, I can say for one of the few times in my life, I’m with Chuck Todd: Let it go, Joe.
