Hypothetical Ethics, Abortion And Torture

From the Transcript:

“. . . on abortion . . . I think abortion is a moral issue and an ethical issue.”

“What I’ve said — and I will repeat — is that waterboarding violates our ideals and our values. I do believe that it is torture.”

“I’m not going to engage in — in hypotheticals of that sort.” concerning nuclear arms.

Funny how Obama thinks that torturing someone to save lives is immoral…even when that person wants to kill those same people while abortion is a moral and ethical issue that does not violate American ideals and values of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Obama is also banning torture because we might have been (the hypothetical) able to get the same information in other ways. But when it comes to guessing what might happen concerning nuclear arms Obama doesn’t want to discuss hypotheticals.

Are you as confused as he might be? I think I am?

Credit Card Market Share And Obama

Obama herded all the credit card CEO’s into the principals office…AKA White House…to “work” with them and see what they could do to help the American consumer. Well, here are his words, “We think it’s important that we get input from the credit card issuers as we shape this reform.” Who does he think that he is kidding? Has Obama ever just brought CEOs over to work with him? The last time that happened he started pressing companies to replace their CEO and start giving wage cuts.

What do you think is going to happen now with the credit card industy. Yup, he is going to “shape this reform” in the manner as he pleases. Also, he said that “there’s going to be action in Congress.” Again if he wants to work with a company then why does he have to create bills in congress for that to happen. I wrote more in depth about this topic so click here to read more about it.

Let me leave you with an observation…In hard times even a good man will get out of trouble for a price. Credit Card companies have a hugh market share of customers from all demographics. Just about everyone has credit cards and just about everyone that does has a balance. And those that have balances have a very high balance. Where do you think loyalites will lie if Obama puts in a bill that helps those customers pay off their credit card bills? Click here for that article.

What Obama, A Telemarketer, and the IRS Have In Common

Obama said today that the government is going to now control the business of Credit Cards. Let me give a little background on myself. I was a telemarketer for about a year or so with MBNA (before BOA bought them out) and I loved every minute of it. Credit card companies are required by law to read the entire terms and agreements of the credit card program verbatim before submitting an application for approval. What is surprising is that Obama is a lawyer and he knows that contract from credit cards CAN ONLY BE IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE LAW AND NOT OF THE COMMON MAN. Language of common man is vague and at times misleading.

What is Obama going to do? He’s going to make the credit card company charge the same interest for loans as loans that are backed with collateral? That is the whole point of a credit card. It is unsecured debt and the interest is the collateral for the bank. It you don’t pay the credit card the company can’t go and take your property can they? No they cannot! So what does Obama plan to do with those customers who have bad credit and no income? Wow, that sounds like the very same problem we had with the housing industry. In short, Obama plans to control the laws of the market namely supply and demand through heavy regulation! Nice.

Funny thing though that the Terms and Agreements of the credit card are on the front and back of a standard sheet of paper while the Terms and Agreements of the IRS is over 70,000 pages. I wonder….do you think that Obama will haul in Tim and demand that he take all the penalties and punishment clauses off the IRS code? Yeah, I don’t think that this is going to happen at all.

WHAT SAY YOU?

Obama And The Hypocrisy Of Blame

Funny how Obama and the democrats blame the financial institutions for creating an opportunity for uncredit worthy customers to get a homes they could not afford but blame the drug addicts, the customers, for the actions of the drug cartels. In other words, Obama blames the mortgage companys for lending money and thus the customers who freely entered into those contracts are not responsible for them.

However, while in Trinidad, Obama blames the individual costomers for creating the demand for the drugs that the cartels produce. In short, the drug cartels have no responsibility for the production of the drugs because the consumers are responsible for creating a demand for the production of those drugs. I think there is some hypocrisy here. What Say You?

Just A Tea Party Blurb About Meaning – Update

Here is a link to the photos: Atlanta Tea Party Photo Gallery (220 photos)

Honestly, I am surprised that the Tea Parties are still getting some press. But even when the press does give it a nod it’s liken to the scene in ”Animal Farm” where the horse, Boxer, is being lead into a trailer that reads “Horse Slaughterer and Glue Boiler” but Squealer tells everyone that it was just a mistake because even though that is what it said that’s not what it meant.

Even though the signes at the Tea Parties focused on Taxation and how Obama’s taxation policy is burdening generations to come some of the media feel that it is their job to inform its viewers that “those right wingers want less taxes so they can oppress the poor some more.”

Too bad the media doesn’t remind everyone that everytime the Government says increase spending….they really mean, ‘increase taxing.”

Obama’s Hypocritical Blame-Game

In press conferences in America Obama does not hesitate to place blame on “greedy” capitalism for the existence of poverty and social injustices of American citizens. However, when Obama visits other countries he blames their poverty and social injustices, not from their very own socialists, communists or dictator but from greedy American citizens who salt the earth for their insatiable desire to consume.

Take mexico for instance. Obama blames individual American citizens for the high demand of drugs in this country. However, Obama blames capitalism for creating an “offer that you can’t refuse” home ownership plan for individual American citizens. Which one is it?
