[Amended] The Republicans Who Voted Yes For Eric Holder Confirmation

Seriously, are they even concerned with what the people think anymore

As an addition toStreiff’s post No on Eric Holder I think it’s time to call out every Republican who saw fit to stand up and say Aye to this travesty.

[Amended] to include reference to President Obama and Democrats continue to defend tax cheats

[Amendment 2] I believe this is a fundamental conservative line in the sand that has been crossed by every republican who voted for it. It’s one thing for Hillary to get a nod on confirmation but Holder, a man with values inherently in disagreement with conservative principals. For me, I will be contacting Kyl’s office in the morning and voicing my disagreement. I urge everyone here whose Senator did this to do the same.

Well there is your list of liberals posing as Republicans....

JadedByPolitics (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 7:49PM EST (link)

Let’s remember this list when their time comes up…..NEVER forget that they voted for a fool who believes he can part you from your RIGHT to a weapon!

Wait! There were more!

Praying (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 7:53PM EST (link)

Per the U S Senate votes website (http://www.senate.gov/pagelayout/legislative/a_three_sections_with_teasers/votes.htm), add to your list:
Alexander, Bond, Chambliss, Greee, Isakson, Voinoivich. THe final vote was 75 yea to 21 nay. Absolutely sickening.

No!!!11!1!!1!1! The Bilderbergers are coming

I knew when Chambliss won his seat with the HELP...

JadedByPolitics (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 8:00PM EST (link)

of Redstate, Hannity, Rush etc. HE WOULD TURN RIGHT BACK TO HIS LIBERAL WAYS…..WE are our own worst enemy because WE continue to support these fools trying to maintain a vote and yet WE DON’T GET THAT VOTE ANYWAY!

WE MUST STOP THE BLEEDING! You are either to the RIGHT side of the divide or you are NOT getting the support of any of the Conservative sites and or commentators PERIOD!

Damn people LET US put a line in the sand and STICK TO IT!

What about Kyl (AZ)????

phxg (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 8:54PM EST (link)

He IS without any doubt a conservative and holds those values to his foundation.

I literally am beside myself over this confirmation. Mind you I had expected him to pass, but not with the willing support of our side.

I suppose that when the Stimulus Bill comes up for a vote we should expect 20% of the Republicans to be squishy enough to vote yes.

It’s too bad this would not be possible, but I would pay to go DC and throw squids at any Senator who voted for Holder or the Stimulus. ALA the Detroit Redwings.

And I bet Kyl votes for Daschle too

bk (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 10:37PM EST (link)

His comments on FNS this weekend were pretty squishy.

Pitiful.

McCain didn't surprise me. Kyl shocked me.

mbecker908 (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 10:46PM EST (link)

Just when I thought I couldn’t be shocked anymore. :-(

Same here.

phxg (Diary) Tuesday, February 3rd at 12:35AM EST (link)

McCain is to be expected, and I’m writing a big piece on him and why we should call for his retirement, not reelection in 2010. But I was seriously worked up tonite when I saw the vote.

It Doesn't Surprise Me in the Slightest

Kyl has been trending away from being reliable to being reliably inside the Beltway for sometime.

I no longer consider Kyl a ‘reliable’ conservative vote, and haven’t for a couple of years now.

The truly shocking one is Sessions – as someone who’s tried to build his bones on being a ‘shining light’ in conservative legal circles, this vote seriously damages his street cred. Maybe permanently.

I worked really hard too to help get Saxby reelected to stop Obama

Elizabeth Christian (Diary) Tuesday, February 3rd at 1:38AM EST (link)

and now – after emailing him recently about this – not only did Saxby vote for this but Johnny Isakson did too!!!

This makes me MAD – I am keeping a list of this vote, Geithner and other upcoming votes so in their next time up for reelection we can have it handy – hopefully some TRUE conservatives will run against them!!!

By the way – I emailed Saxby about the stimulus (porkulus bill) and he emailed back and basically said blah blah blah – I will keep your opinions in mind when I vote – I don’t have a good feeling about this vote either. How quick one forgets how he almost did not make it back to D.C. – if we had wanted liberal votes we could have sent Martin up there!!!

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

I don't know how to add the links, but please add:

How disgusting. Both of Tennessee’s senators voted for Holder – a state that is overwhelmingly RED. What were they thinking? Making plans for what they’ll be doing in 4 to 6 years? Cuz it WON’T be serving in the U S Senate!

Thank you, Senator Martinez (FL) - Sincerely.

Kenny Solomon (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 8:49PM EST (link)

I am really impressed and thankful that Florida’s Senator Martinez voted Nay and I shall inform him as such.

In his letter of reply after my asking him to vote no, he said the following: “I adhere to the principle that, assuming qualifications, a President gets to choose the members of his Cabinet. I have met with Attorney General-designee Eric Holder and he answered a number of questions to my satisfaction. Eric Holder understands the unique role of Attorney General and further, I think he is qualified to serve in that role. Therefore, I intend to support Mr. Holder’s confirmation.”

I am VERY proud of senator Martinez for voting Nay and to whomever and whatever altered his vote, my sincere gratitude.

This is a sad day for The United States Of America, free people and those who believe in God-given and preserved individual rights.

On further review ......... Senator Martinez (FL) did not vote yea OR nay........ he didn't vote at all.

Kenny Solomon (Diary) Monday, February 2nd at 9:24PM EST (link)

Senator Martinez, I retract the above and I’m glad I didn’t write you in error. But I’m glad you didn’t vote, because I believe you that you would have voted Yea.

Don't feel bad - at least yours voted like Obama (no vote)

Elizabeth Christian (Diary) Tuesday, February 3rd at 1:56AM EST (link)

My two Senators (Georgia) voted YEA!!! I am so mad – I worked hard on the reelection – mainly the runoff for Saxby because of the filibuster factor and now he already forgets why he was sent back to D.C. – I guess he is all comfortable now and does not care that he almost was sent home and not to D.C.!!!
