A few members may receive a suggestion about avoiding the appearance of impropriety, along with a stern admonishment to cover up better in the future. But, for the overwhelming majority, the verdict will be that they are not only innocent, but pure as the driven snow in the Dakotas, and that the only possible blemish on their records might be an excess of virtue. If only I could foretell the Powerball numbers with such accuracy . . .
