How long has the wife been in public office? Let's see. 2009 - 16 = 1993.

Hilda Solis:

was elected to the California State Assembly in 1992 and to the California State Senate in 1994. She was the first Hispanic woman to serve in the State Senate, and was re-elected there in 1998. (snip)

Solis defeated a long-time Democratic incumbent on the way to gaining election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000. (snip) She was re-elected easily to four additional terms in 2002 through 2008.

"58% of Americans say the problems related to Obama's nominees are just a normal part of the process of filling high-level government positions in any new administration."

I've always been skeptical about The Gallup Poll in general. It does seem odd that they would come out with this poll now. Their web site has headlines like this today:

"Americans’ Confidence in Obama Unshaken"

"Confidence in Obama Remains High After Cabinet Troubles"

"Limbaugh Well-Liked by Many, but Not All, Republicans"

"Media Coverage of Obama Gets Mixed and Partisan Reviews"

Is the glass half full or is the glass full of liberal bias?
