Does anyone really think that to get the next McCain-[Random Liberal Democrat] bill passed he wouldn't give up just about anything that's not earmark related? Card check? No problem. Scary looking weapons ban and huge ammo tax? Sure. Except, of course, it would require the Republicans in the Senate to have a spine, and for Senator McCain to not lead his cohorts over to the opposition.
