I Am Confused

I thought that Al Franken was supposed to have cleaned up his act and that he has become a serious candidate for Senator from Minnesota.

Guess not.

I don’t mind former entertainers getting into politics. But the key word here is “former.” If Franken still wants to entertain on Saturday Night Live, let him. All he has to do is to announce that contrary to his protestations, he is not, in fact, a serious candidate for the United States Senate and then he can be on his merry way.

How many times has McCain hosted SNL while he was running for office?

Did Franken help write the Todd Palin incest skit?

I’m sure the citizens of MN would like the answer to that one. Its clearly the kind of “humor” Franken dabbled in before.

Does that make SNL

Nobody seems to mind Fred Thompson acting and running at the same time.

I don’t think we really want to call for people having to quit their day jobs before they can run for office, do we?
