The cadets at West Point do not represent an ” enemy camp”. I have no doubt they will do their best, some will give their lives to defend our nation. Just because they didn’t seem to have a collective tingle up their legs at the President’s oratory doesn’t mean they will not follow the orders of their Commander and Chief. To suggest otherwise is reprehensible. Chris Matthews owes them an apology. If you agree I urge you to e-mail hardball@msnbc.com .

proudmarinemom (Diary) Wednesday, December 2nd at 4:15PM EST (link)at West Point on multiple occasions to visit my nephew (now an officer in the Army in Afghanistan) and having attended his graduation at which the key speaker was then-VP Dick Cheney, I can tell you that there is broad diversity of thought and opinion at the Academy. I know for a fact that a number of cadets voted for Barack Obama.
These cadets would be crucified if they showed anything other than respect to the C-in-C and, of course, they did. They did the same to VP Cheney, but with a much louder, more approving responcse, given the occasion (and the man.)
If Chris Matthews is right that Obama was in the “Enemy Camp” last night, it is a camp of his own making by his indecision, his Blame America First foreign policy and his obvious snake-oil salesman persona.
