Andrew Breitbart was wrong when he said

“This is war! We conservatives are not taking it anymore!

When you go to war you use your best and we clearly aren’t doing that.

This isn’t war this isn’t even a dress rehersal. Does anyone believe any of these guys will be around in four more years?

There is no sense of urgency never mind war. We seem to be so out of touch within our own party which makes sense when there isn’t a leader to pull everyone together.

What if a war was declared and nobody came now that seems to be more accurate.

President Obama really doesn’t have to campaign because we are doing all the heavy lifting by not offering a qualified candidate who has the backing of republicans. Thanks for the free pass!

We don’t even like our own candidates and we are trying to pass them off to the american voter. Who are we kidding? Not the voters? Mitt is a great stand in until we find our real leader at least he looks presidential but it is quite certain we will lose with any of the candidates by a large margin.

Until we have a leader who has our support then there is nothing more to talk about. I know going up against an incumbent is an uphill battle but isn’t it worth trying? Don’t we owe the american people at least this?

Which one of these candidates could beat Hillary Clinton? Not one of them, in fact it wouldn’t even be close.

The economy will be in much better shape than it is now so we can’t use that which means we have to come up with ideas that excite the american people. Who in our party has these inspirational and innovative ideas and why are they not running for President?

George Will has it right as did William Buckley when he described this type of situation as constructive defeat and in my opinion it can’t unfold fast enough.

Step 1  Find a qualified candidate

I know within our party the next great president is waiting to take on the challenge of restoring republican principals I just wish we had him or her now because we should be at war win or lose.

THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE

It seems the Democrats are running to win the Presidency and the Republicans are running to win the religious right.

Well if that’s true then I think we will win. It has been stated that we only have ourselves to blame, well as I always ask are these candidates for the presidency the best we’ve got? We can only vote for candidates who are running for president so I don’t know if you can blame it all on us.

Whenever Mr. Santorum opens his mouth he is seen as a religious extremist and a hypocrite then add a little slut comment to it from a “loving republican Christian” commentator and what do you create?

The average voter thought these days were behind us but thanks to these two we have no chance in heaven of beating Obama and we don’t deserve to because our best do not believe they can beat Obama and have decided to wait four more years.

Let’s face it our best candidates must be waiting for next time. (Unless there aren’t any candidates waiting on the sidelines)

I guarantee you the economy will be in much better shape by the time Ms Clinton runs and maybe Ms Palin will be prepped by that time. lol

Oh yes the McCain/Palin ticket here again we offered the best Republicans have to offer. What has happened to our party?

Mitt who is a watered down republican and Newt with all his baggage and forget about Gov Perry what is his hunting camp called something like  ——head. I can’t even print it and some of you think he has or had a chance of winning the highest office in the land?

Our party seems to have run out of new ideas and hasn’t evolved I presume because we are stuck in an echo chamber that keeps repeating the same very old ideas WAKE UP we have to evolve and quit looking back at Reagan and the”good old days”.

Does anyone really believe we can beat President Obama with these candidates and the negative tone emanating from the Republican strategy which seems to be Obama bad Republicans good without any visionary ideas to inspire the American voters?

Just a few pieces of advice from someone who wants the Republican party to be strong again.

1 A perceived separation of church and state would be helpful. In other words I don’t need a politician to tell me about religious affairs or morals. Please leave that to me.

2. The tone of  the party is too negative and not inspiring at all. (The party of NO comes to mind)

We can’t blame the president for all the problems we face even though that takes less effort. We have to inspire voters with innovative ideas. We have to work for it.

3. Put more effort in finding the next great president. Companies do it why shouldn’t the Republican party?

The last election and this one prove the party establishment is doing just fine without going to any trouble of finding a qualified candidate to represent us.

4. It seems we need more than a facelift we need to examine what we really believe in and throw out the rest if we ever want to be competitive and useful to our country. We as a party have to evolve and quit reminiscing about the good old days.

I think this may be the reason as to why we are not attracting any qualified candidates because it is getting harder to say the same old lines.

We will not win this election with these candidates and these ideas and that’s a good thing We are trying to win this on the cheap and it isn’t working. Yes all your friends say President Obama is terrible but step out of the echo chamber and you will see President Obama is winning easily due to our inability to evolve. Look for a landslide which is the best medicine for a party submitting a gallery of uninspiring amateurs.

MITT and his Swiss bank account and the Cayman thing

In 2010 Mitt paid less than 14 % on his taxes and shut down his Swiss bank account.

I guess we now know why he was a “little hesitant’ to release his tax records.

What was he thinking? What impact will this have on Florida?

Is the race over?

.

I’m certain he will be pressured into releasing at least three more years and what will they show?

He’s only released the last two years

This nightmare could drag on forever and I can’t for the life of me understand why he didn’t shut down the Swiss account years earlier.

Florida could be the end for Mitt or maybe it was South Carolina.

Again it looks like amateur hour where are the real candidates?

THE DREAM TEAM GINGRICH/RICE 2012

After Newt gives Mitt that well deserved pink slip he’s going to announce Dr. Condoleezza Rice as his running mate.

The universally respected Dr. Rice has everything you could want in a running mate and these two could confidently go up against the Obama/Clinton ticket and win.

Dr. Rice has the integrity, intelligence, and experience to make Newt whole.

Speaker Gingrich has found his groove and all the money in the world is not going to hold him back from winning the nomination.

Let them all pile on in Florida but ironically it will be the religious right and power brokers playing the part of Goliath to Newt’s David and we know how that ended.

The truth is Joe voter wants someone who is unapologetic for his or her conservative views, backed by passion.

Mr. Romney lacks both he really should be running as an independent which would only help define his philosophy.

It seems Speaker Gingrich has so much baggage that it has cancelled itself out and is no longer an issue with the common voter.

Dr. Rice is universally respected and that’s something Newt needs more of.

Speaker Gingrich will beat Romney but not Obama if he chooses a standard boring running mate which is why he should choose Dr.Rice who has the qualifications and the temperament to slip into the role of vice president and President.

Dr. Rice on the ticket is a game changer and by the way she’s black which makes it very hard to pin the race card on Newt or Republicans as some do.

But this is the best part she’s a she. That’s right Dr.Rice is a woman so that might attract a few angry female voters Newt wouldn’t normally get.

The choice of Dr. Rice as his running mate is brilliant and a masterstroke.

THE RESURRECTION OF SPEAKER GINGRICH

Newt was simply amazing and will coast to the nomination in my opinion. The debates really work for him and now all can see that this is the guy to go up against President Obama.

How did Newt transform all that “baggage” into votes?

I am in awe that anyone could resurrect themselves the way he has, but I guess in politics anything can happen

How is it that any bad press he gets helps him?

Newt has supplied the sizzle that many were looking for.

Can you imagine the amount of money pouring in after last night’s debate?

Now we have some excitement and the ideas to back them up which will attract Americans from both parties which is a must because God knows this is an uphill battle.

Last night’s performance by Newt was perfect and the only heavy hits he took were from Santorum who looked great but will drop out soon because of money and not enough support.

Romney really can’t battle someone like Newt or President Obama he just isn’t comfortable because he doesn’t know who he is or what he really believes.

As Eric recommended, Perry dropping out and endorsing Newt was a wise move and wonderful timing.

The coronation plans of Mitt Romney have come to a screeching halt thanks to the debates, Newt peaking at just the right time, and especially the media. (Thanks John King and ABC) oh and former Mrs Gingrich. Can you say backfired

Now we really have someone who we can rally behind and WIN.

You really can’t say that about Mr 15%  the great impostor. Cheers

THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN………

this is a two man race like it or not. We don’t need South Carolina to tell us again that Gov. Perry can’t improve on his 6% average in the polls.

Supporters have their heads in the sand if they believe Gov. Perry can perform on the national or international stage, he just isn’t ready and will be out within days as he has certainly already decided to be the “kingmaker”as Eric so eloquently pointed out.

Romney and Gingrich are the two we should be focusing on and not wasting our time on candidates who are involved in a dress rehearsal.

This election is too important to waste so let’s focus on the two who don’t need training wheels and let the other three get on with their lives.

What’s the hurry you may ask? We have to prepare the two remaining candidates for a battle that will almost be impossible to win and that’s the presidency.

Do we really have the luxury of taking our time waiting for a miracle? We should be battling Obama not each other and the sooner we start the better.

Our frontrunner does not always come across as genuine and yet Mr. Romney is doing extremely well.

He needs to be vetted and to work on that glass jaw of his because we all know the intense pressure the democrats and the media will inflict on him if he win’s our support.

Let’s face it Romney isn’t a true conservative and generally we all feel the same way about him and that is he’s an opportunist but has quite successfully learned how to run a campaign and look electable.

Perry has real supporters who love him while Romney only attracts opportunists and supporters desperate to win the presidency back at any costs.

Gingrich has all kinds of baggage that you can point to without a doubt.

In fact he has more baggage than all the candidates put together excluding Ron Paul lol but after seeing him in action I’m starting to believe that he is our only hope if he can separate the past and be “reborn” and I believe that is possible but certainly not easy.

If he can transform himself then we will really have a chance of winning the hearts and minds of the voters.

Let’s face it between Romney and Gingrich we know who the true conservative is and we know who can go up against President Obama in a debate.

If Romney makes us feel uneasy imagine how the average voter must feel. He is the great imposter in many ways

and he can’t beat Obama despite what the polls say.  Newt is it

We may ultimately lose with Gingrich but we will at least be able to sleep at nights knowing we had a candidate who could stand up to Obama and fight like hell to remind americans why we are republicans. Cheers

And the winner is……..

In my opinion Newt aced it and Romney earned a respectable second place. The others I think are on their way out except for Paul.

Newt really shows why he is the better candidate especially against Romney who despite his success does not seem to know what he believes in yet.

Perry I think will bow out next week. I don’t think the Danny Pearl comment worked at all and I’m sure many cringed at that as well as listening to the hunting adventures of Romney. Just not believable which is a problem for him.

Paul of course only added to his problems by saying he would have preferred to have take Osama Bin Laden alive.

I think Newt won the battle but may lose the war because of Romney’s momentum but we will see.

Santorum made a few good points but I think he lacks the exposure to really get his message out. We really need more debates so that we can compare candidates rather than from the talking heads.

I really hope Newt stays in and at the very least sharpens up Romney for the barrage of negative ads coming his way as the presidential nominee.

Huntsman dropping out has really left me frustrated simply because I don’t think some these candidates even think they have a chance of becoming President and will fold at the earliest moment.

Tonight has given me hope that the coronation can at least be postponed and I think everyone wins if this goes on much longer.

Cheers

Has Mitt already wrapped this up?

While we are all fighting as to why our candidate is the best a few nagging questions are being ignored.

Has Mitt at this early date already sewn up  the nomination?  What does this say about the other candidates?

What happened in Virginia?  Where is the organization?

Do we really believe one of these candidates can capture the imagination of the American people and win the Presidency?

Is this really the best we can do?  I have nothing against the candidates but we have to win this time.

In my opinion we can kiss the next four years goodbye because none of the candidates other than Mitt  really seem to believe they can compete with the President.  (The voters so far seem to agree with me.)

Where is the leadership and why hasn’t the Republican party encouraged stronger candidates to run?

Oh and what happens if Biden and Clinton switch?  Well I think you know the answer. Are we ready? Nope!

I assume more competitive candidates have decided to wait because they believe Obama/Biden cannot be beat.

The lack of imagination and urgency within the Republican elites is breathtaking and the only passion to be found is coming from people like you who deserve better!

Most of the candidates are focused on how “bad” the current situation is and not on how great the future can be.  The difference between the two is vast. We need someone with fresh ideas who will excite voters and inspire supporters to fight for the presidency.

If Mr. Romney wins the nomination this early will he be ready and sharp enough to do battle?

I hope so but he better work on his common touch without talking about how he has experienced the fear of getting a pink slip.

The party has shown before why they deserve to lose. ie McCain/Palin

and here we go again do we really think we can impress the American voters with what we have seen so far?

Of course the polls will show a close race but when election day comes around the

reality will silence the echo chamber that says Obama can be beat with a mediocre cast.

H.L. Mencken once said “No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby”.

If Romney wins the nomination his running mate will have to be someone outside of this group who really adds some excitement.

Remember this is politics and so far we don’t have any sizzle to compliment the policies.
