In the wake of the battle over a mosque at Ground Zero, a move by Hartford City Council is sure to have its critics.
The Council announced Tuesday that it has invited local imams to perform Islamic invocations at the beginning of the Council meetings in September.
Though meetings don’t regularly begin with any form of prayer, an email from the Common Council called it “an act of solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters.”
Oh no….that won’t offend anybody.
Do I even have to say it….? They would never allow a Christian prayer to be given before a meeting and don’t care if it offends anybody because I’m sure they will have anyone who objects immediately ejected from the chamber by a police officer.
Have it your way lefties. Don’t forget that you will have to lie in that bed you make in less than two months. Going against 60 -70% of the personal beliefs of the country and the voters is not a good way to approach an election but don’t let me stop you.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
