Lou Dobbs, the longtime CNN anchor whose anti-immigration views have made him a TV lightning rod, said Wednesday that he is leaving the cable news channel effective immediately.
Sitting before an image of an American flag on his television set, he said “some leaders in media, politics and business have been urging me to go beyond the role here at CNN and to engage in constructive problem solving as well as to contribute positively to the great understanding of the issues of our day.”
“I’m considering a number of options and directions,”
The big question is if he is leaving on his own or got canned. CNN didn’t seem to care for his birther tendencies but I won’t go into that taboo subject here. Maybe there is no room for diversity at CNN. Toe the Obama line or be gone. That would be easy to believe given their last place cable news status.
Is he going to Fox News…?
That would be awesome.
Is he going into politics…?
We will have to wait and see.

I think Lou could use his name to make a move to Congress from where he lives and being a populist will probably win. I like Lou but I thought he lost his mind over the birth certificate when it was quite obvious that was NOT going to be a winning issue.

And make no mistake, amnesty is next on our fake president’s agenda so we’d do well not to take Dobbs for granted, and hope he’ll be on the air to join that fight when it comes.
This is truly the end of an era for CNN… Dobbs was with them from the very beginning. But it seems like they’re on a little “moderate purge” of their own.
