Are you accusing us of not having genuine positions?

And what kind of idiot thinks we can grow jobs while doing greenie stuff? Carly Fiorina, Van Jones, Meg Whitman, and Barack Obama.

California is a green, tree-hugging state that tends to think that global warming is real. So, being open to doing something about it is smart politics. I don't think that the usual conservative talking points will work here.

However, she goes on to mention that the water cutbacks forced by environmental laws have cost 43,000 jobs in Fresno. For those who don't know, there is a fish called the Delta smelt which is going extinct, and our environmental law requires that water be taken away from the farmers and given to the fish.

That incident, I believe, is a wonderful example of the priorities of the Democratic Party and especially of wealthy Marin county liberals like Barbara Boxer. Our unemployment rate is over 12%, which is higher than the national average.. Rules and regulations promoted by folks like Boxer are a big reason why. I hope that every Republican running in California mentions that fish at every opportunity because it is a great way to explain to people what will happen to them if they keep on electing Democrats.

For those who believe in "green jobs", Fiorina mentions the extreme problems that green tech companies have had in building manufacturing plants in California. She mentions that one company has had to wait 2 years for permits in California versus 6 months in Ukraine. Even the green jobs are reluctant to locate here because the business environment is so toxic. That's what happens when you have a legislature full of Democrats.

I like the way Fiorina talks about jobs and she also sounds very comfortable talking about healthcare. I think that could very well appeal to moderate Democrats who are worried about their economic future.

She may not be a conservative, but the bottom line here is that California is very far from being a conservative state.

she's a woman...and...and...she ran a big company which means she's conservative....and...and...and... because Chuck DeVore is too *conservative* to win in CA (pay no attention to the poll(s) behind the curtain that show him polling better than Carly) ... and...and... John McCain and the NRSC said she was the most electable candidate ... and ... and ... and...she's promised to self-fund...

Ok, I can't summon any more sarcasm and my eyes are rolled up so far in the back of my head it may be Sunday before they come back down.

Sigh!

that she was a bad joke. Her competence level for that job was about the same as Obama's for his current job. Fortunately for the folks at HP somebody manned-up and sacked her worthless butt.

Her biggest problem getting elected in CA - problem"s" actually - are:

1 - She can't run from her incompetence as a CEO. The folks in the industry HATE her. And rightly so.
2 - The base in CA wouldn't walk across the street to pee on her if she was on fire.

Nominate Carly and Boxer will clean her clock.
