What Obama calls middle class I call the working poor. Those poor enough to be hurting, but not so poor that they can't take care of themselves. If 30K is middle class then what is lower class??!!

Obama definition of poor=People who are helpless to do anything for themselves and don't work at all!

My definition of poor=people who work hard to get by. AKA-30-50K

My definition of socially pathalogic=those who don't work at all, but do breed, use public resources, medical care, and government handouts-essentially the Obama poor

don't bring Colorado into this. I'm from Colorado an I'm ashamed of more than 1/2 of my state! As far as divisiveness on abortion-it's a polarizing topic. Either a fetus is a valuable human life and abortion is wrong, or it is tissue, and in that case it's the surgical equivalent of blowing your nose. Except for the rare instances of abortion to save the life of the mother--analogous to separating conjoined twins to save one rather than let both die-I don't see much room for middle ground on this topic or on marriage for that matter. There is right and wrong, and kinda sorta maybe gray area wrong still ain't right!

But I think he was the right person for this campaign cycle. He came out with his dignity as far as I'm concerned. For him this was a one-time shot so now we move on. I am glad he didn't do something like give up his Senate seat.

We all know what the term "bipartisan" means in the hallowed halls of our democrat friends. It may likely sound eerily like Abu Graib as Republicans from all over Washington become "educated" in what all they will do, say, testify to, and vote for.

It's not going to be a fun two years and I'm sure we'll see resignations from those who would more likely prefer to show up to work at a luxury suite rather than submit to the stocks and public humiliation. On the other hand this will be an enjoyable time as Dems and their friends in the media push lots of good stuff onto our country and enjoy the torture sessions.

So, here we are. Where we go is determined only partially of the "who" of the Republican party. Circumstances and likely the discomfort of Republicans, moderates, and other hard-working Americans will have more impact on giving the Republicans another chance.

The McCain people and the Party apparatus they represent told Romney to bow out now so we can get an early start on the general election campaign, (As I remember it they wasted that extra time but that was the talk back then from RS and I'm sure the rest of the party leadership). They promise was made that they would throw their support behind him in 2012 just like they told McCain in 2000 he'd be the guy...It's no secret that the Republican Party is a top down system of appointing nominees...Reagan was a loan exception.

BTW...I don't remember if it was you...or someone else that scoffed at me during the primaries when I suggested the Party controls the primary process scheduling blue states first during the primaries...well...the nominating process for 2012 was set by a committee at the nominating committee and they virtually guaranteed another primary schedule like this last one with all the big blue states front loaded into a compressed primary schedule. so the drama continues in 2012.

so...the plotting and scheming continues

and as for Puppet Masters...I said establishment...tea and crumpet crowd...Campaign and caviar crowd...whatever you want to call them.

You know, George Will, Peggy Noonan, Cathlene Parker, David Brooks and the rest of the clowns that somehow slipped off and simultaneously published hit pieces on Palin without communicating with each other.

he backed out so suddenly that it just seemed to me that a deal was made...I'll be the first to say I could be wrong as a result because I'm basing the idea on observation and not inside information.

That being said...Romney will be the establishment pick...I'm convinced of it...and what I said about Romney Surrogates throwing bombs at Palin last week is backed up with reporting form McCaslin and others.

We have no credibility any more as a result of the crowd that drove this bus into the ditch...We haven't governed as Fiscal Conservatives...We haven't governed as limited government conservatives...we haven't fought for socially conservative justices to the federal bench...the dems have blocked them all for 4 to eight years...just watch Spectre and the rest gab their ankles to help the Dems rush his socialist justices through to show how bipartisan they can be...

Is it time to be understanding...and avoid the butt kicking our leadership deserves?

I say not just NO but HELL NO!

there are at least five Republicans who are really democrats so they already have 60+

There is NOTHING to slow them down, (certainly not the fourth estate, HAH!) and Obama promised to hit the ground running. Let there be no mistake, we will have pure, pure, pure leftism. None of this Clinton-lite stuff. The 200 proof real thing.

In fact, that commentary in WAPO about the future of Palin is a "silent code" to the MSM that the "Attack On Palin" and "Blaming McCain's loss to Palin" IS STILL IN THE GO.

That's what the MSM and the Democrats did to Reagan after his loss in a primaries more than 2 decades ago.
