Sam Rohrer for PA

For eight long years, Ed Rendell and the Democratic Party have held the reigns on Pennsylvania, dragging it deep into debt and unemployment. Republicans now have a ripe opportunity to take the senate and governorships, but there is trouble on the horizon.

That problem is the leading candidate for governor, Tom Corbett. He like Rendell has more than one skeleton in his closet. He also has stated that he views the constitution as a living document. There is some hope: Sam Rohrer.

Sam has built a strong Conservative record throughout his service in the state house. He has fought for tax reform, property tax elimination, and the rights of the unborn. He has following through the tea party and patriots for his strong beliefs in the personal freedom and the free market.

Time is running out; the primary is being held on May 18. His record speaks for itself, please take a look and consider supporting him.

Pandering to His New Base

Snarlin’ Arlen does it again.

Seeing how Sen. Specter is facing a competitive primary from the left and given his past behavior, it doesn’t come as a surprise that our friend, Arlen Specter, has taken another sharp left turn – this time on Afghanistan. His office sent out an e-mail, heralding his opposition to the troop surge and dismissing any prospect of victory.

He’s using this as an attempt to gain some support from his new left wing base, which has begun flocking in droves to Congressman Joe Sestak. Taking advantage of the situation in Afghanistan and declaring defeat to pander to the left is certainly a new low (even for Arlen). Voters are beginning to pick up on his true colors: a recent Rasmussen Poll of likely Democratic primary voters has Sestak within 13 points, and Specter under the dangerous 50% support mark for an incumbent. Sestak is certainly gaining ground on Specter as he introduces himself with liberal voters in PA.

On the other hand, this can be seen as great news for Pat Toomey. With both candidates vying for the Liberal vote and moving farther and farther left on issues, they will be unacceptable choices for Pennsylvania’s large moderate and independent voters. This presents the perfect opportunity for Toomey, who has positioned himself as a center-right centrist. Republicans have an excellent opportunity to take this seat.

An Even More Inconvenient Truth

The Climategate E-mails have issued a devastating blow to global warming proponents. As it turns out our highly esteemed climate change “experts” have been receiving millions for their “scientific” work. On top of that, there is new evidence discrediting the theory.

The man at the center of the controversy, Professor Phil Jones received 13 million Euros in research grants. The E-mails that were leaked between him and other scientists prove that he was manipulating scientific data to back up claims of global warming. Another professor admitted to making up temperatures to show rising global temperatures, when in fact they were declining. The warmest year on record is 1934.

In Al Gore’s famous, An Inconvenient Truth, he used data from the Mauana Loa Observatory to back up his claims of increasing CO2 levels. The data was correct; CO2 levels were rising. The only problem is that the Mauana Loa Observatory is located on an active volcano, which spews CO2 into the atmosphere. Shockingly Al Gore forgets to mention this minuet detail in his film. Oddly enough, the situation isn’t much different with other observatories. American Samoa Observatory is also located near an active volcano and has had similar skewed results.

Unsurprisingly MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and other mainstream media companies have done very little to report the truth. But why? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that there is a Climate Change Bill trying to make its way through the Senate. Or it could even be the up and coming climate change summit in Copenhagen, that President Obama will be attending.

I have a feeling that it’s both. Either way, the newly leaked Climategate E-mails create a daunting problem for global warming alarmists. The combination of this and mounting evidence discrediting global warming presents an even more inconvenient truth for Al Gore and Barack Obama than global warming ever was.

*On an even happier note, the L.A. Times is reporting that 2 Academy members are asking Al Gore to give back his Oscar

Talk About a Suck-Up

What a suck up: first Saudi Arabia and now Japan. As a young American high-schooler, I am embarrassed. Do you think this emboldens America’s enemies?

Curt Schroder for Congress

Congressman Jim Gerlach will not be running for reelection in the Pennsylvania’s 6th district because of his gubernatorial campaign for governor. PA-6 is a largely suburban district in southeastern PA, and Democrats are giddy for the opportunity to take the seat. Don’t let them.

One Republican has emerged as the clear conservative in the race, and he is Curt Schroder. Curt has served in the Pennsylvania state house since 1994 and has had a solid conservative record to back it up. He has fought against the Labor-backed “Card Check” legislation and has championed right-to-work laws.

There’s going to be a hard fought campaign for the 6th district in 2010, and it is important for conservatives to support the right candidates. Curt Schroder can win this district.

His website is here: http://vote4curt.com/

Good News in New Jersey

PPP has posted their last poll coming out of the garden state. It shows Chris Christie with a 6 pt. lead over Corzine: http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/2009/11/christie-leads.html

This is very good news, but what makes this even better is the amount of political capital Obama has invested in it. A very Democratic state like New Jersey electing a Republican over a candidate Obama (who won NJ 57%-42%) has campaigned hard for will be a serious embarrassment to the the president.

In Virginia Bob McDonell holds a double digit lead over Creigh Deeds in a state which voted Obama 53%-46%. PPP has Doug Hoffman leading Owens by a wide margin as well. I have a feeling Tuesday night isn’t going to be a fun night for Obama and the rest of the Democrats.

P.S. GOTV!
