I have to tip my Flaming Capitalist Crown to President Obama — he IS one DAMN FINE community organizer. He is managed, in less than 100 days as POTUS, to organize average Americans, business owners, and other freedom-minded citizens in ways I would have never dreamed imaginable.
I have lived through Democrat Presidents, with whom I disagreed, and it never, ever occurred to me to brew rebellion! Now, it is true that Republican President George Bush was the focus of many vitriolic rallies. However the Bush-hate rallies were filled with agitators who essentially protested for a living. These rallies were generally one-quarter to one-half the size of the Tea Party Revolts held nationwide yesterday. I have to think our dear President is none too pleased with this style of activism!
I was struck by two things following my speech yesterday, when other Tea Party rebels came up to chat with me:
1) People were excited about the flaming capitalist message I presented. They were clamoring for more focus on this than activism on social topics.
2) Many admired my kind remarks about fiscally responsible Democrats. I think many Americans are getting tired of vitriol tossed at fellow citizens — even if they disagree on some topics.

Praying (Diary) Saturday, February 28th at 9:55PM EST (link)I think the MSM has painted such a negative view of capitalism that many misunderstand what it is and how important it is to maintaining our freedoms and liberties. While it was indeed exciting to see about 50 separate tea parties, all over the nation, come together in less than 1 week (I attended one in Nashville TN), that was hardly time to come up with a central, unified theme and message. Many speakers warned of our slip to socialism – but too many Americans don’t know what that is and so don’t react – we saw that during the election! So it will be good now to dialogue on what the important points are, and the points you raise are not points I have seen in any other write-ups of the events.

They’re doing everything possible to make kids think that there will always be someone there to support them and protect them if they want. It’s sickening.

Not only do they NOT teach history from about 1928 to the present, but what they DO teach actually sets up socialism as the “NORM.” And we wonder why the younger generation lacks self reliance, accountability, personal responsibility, a work ethic, etc. They were not only not taught that, but they were taught to REJECT that. Hopefully there are still enough of us who were in school before the socialists took over that can yell loud enough to stop this.
I just watched the entire Limbaugh speech on politicalclass.com – it was awesome and inspiring – and since it was on Fox (which sadly I don’t get because I’m one of that minority of people who lives within my means) I’ll be interested to see the MSM take on it. I’m sure there will be a negative spin somewhere!

Those expensive anchors, studios & TV equipment are paid for by the very exercise of capitalism. Once the MSM goes over the edge (which I think they have) then they will be fighting a fight THEY cannot win. Once the government steps in and starts telling them what to say by FORCE then let’s see how much support the MSM will continue to give Obama.
In Obama’s wildest dreams he never could have imagined that he could ACCOMPLISH so much in so short a time.
He has run 90 yards in 2 sec and sees that he only has 10 yards to go to get that gold medal. The last 10 are the hardest and he will get tripped up. The networks are losing money, the newspapers are filing for bankruptcy and it is still 18 months before we start seeing commercials for the 2010 races. Many local affiliates won’t last that long. We will see local stations filing for bankruptcy before then.
And if the Unfairness doctrine kicks in then it will be up to conservatives to invade the airwaves on every left leaning liberal
station we can find. And if they won’t let us on then it should be lawsuit city.
Let’s see how long the big expensive anchors stay on the air after they get a “paycut” down to $500,000….it is coming. Do you think
they wonder how much they are losing by supporting Obama?
Most probably don’t care but people in that strata of income will be hurting and it will be interesting to see if their pain gets translated over the air?
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
