Polls? You’re going to come at me with polls. Forgetting for a minute that most are cut out of whole cloth, the GOPers with the low numbers aren’t popular with me either. I’m brand new to RedState, so I won’t presume to speak for any of the others here. But, if you keep lurking around, you’ll see spirited debate going on everywhere about this topic. There’s a real push against incumbency, and a call for the cleansing fire to burn away the overgrowth and dead wood in Washington.

The court system isn’t just biased, it’s hopelessly ineffective, and often corrupt. Judges overturning the vote of the people happens all the time. Here’s one that I saw firsthand. A man in my hometown brutally murdered a clerk and customer at a gas station. There was no question of his guilt. The camera caught everything. He was sentenced to die for his crimes by a jury of his peers. But the ACLU has pushed for retrials in all cases where execution was involved. Because of this, he plead guilty the second time around, and his lawyers were able to get his sentence commuted to life imprisonment. We could do nothing. Through legal chicanery, the citizens of my state are forced to support a murderer, while his victims get no second chances. I don’t like that. If you want other specifics, I’ll be happy oblige you. Just let me know.

Being American is unamerican. We’re in Bizzaro World here. Laws make outright theft and murder legal through the welfare system and abortion. Businesses are being nationalized by the day. All to prop up the Left’s vision of America.

But dissent is in jeopardy through Political Correctness and outright violations of the 1st Amendment. Speak out against the corruption, and watch out. Look what happened to Imus, Limbaugh, and now Savage. More will fall, possibly even you, if you’re not liberal enough. Read your Orwell.

All this self-flagellation from the Left over the terrorists is a smokescreen and a screed. You have to know that. We’re still talking about water boarding, and what/when Pelosi knew, instead of focusing on the Obama Economic takeover of major US industries. Speaker Nancy is a shield for the Left. She’s gone as far as she’ll go in station and popularity, and thus expends her political capital to protect the fledgling liberals waiting to succeed her. And they’ve got such grand plans. Ask yourself, why did the Dem Congress spend more time on steroids in baseball than the multi-trillion dollar stimulus bill?

I would like to know if you’ve donated any money to a veterans charity. Does your heart swell for all combatants, or just the other side’s? And tell me again of torture, after you’ve witnessed a late-term abortion.

World Opinion. What a sham. In ‘None Dare Call It Treason’ John Stormer traced the origin of that term. It arose during the Korean War, as a way for the libs to protect Chairman Mao and the Communists of China from total annihilation. Later, Senator Kerry used it to liken US soldiers to the Hun. It’s total moral equivalency meant to humble the mighty, and tell giant Gulliver to lay down and be bound by the Lilliputians. The Left resides bodily in that World. Fine, stay there. I choose to go another way. Others will join me on the path.

There are enough atrocities in the past to go around. I’m not suggesting we forget any of them. But I’m not a wall flower. I’m trying to move us forward. Since you probably support the social activist-cum-politician, you’d think I’d have your tacit approval. The future I envision won’t end in pogroms.

America defines itself as the kid that stands up to the bully. The one everyone else can look to and envy and respect.

After all, everyone KNEW that Saddam Hussein was a bully, thug and killer, and everyone KNEW that he needed to be removed — that he supported terrorists and terrorism — but everyone except President Bush was too afraid to actually do it.

but latest polling data shows that equal numbers of Americans identify as Republicans as Democrats. That’s a several point swing from the Dem advantage over the last couple of months. My guess is that it’s a response to the socialist takeover of the gubmint.

But I don’t know why I’m responding, because frankly, I could care less what a mental midget like yourself thinks.
