Good news! We don’t actually live in a Matrix-style computer simulation of the world. How do I know this? Simple:
If we did live in a Matrix-style computer civilization then this news report, summarized by Gateway Pundit as:
Medical costs will skyrocket rising $389 billion 10 years. 14 million will lose employer-based coverage. Millions will be left without insurance. And millions more will be may be dumped into the already overwhelmed Medicaid system. 4 million American families will be hit with tax penalties under this new law.
…would have the Democrats frantically scrabbling for the menu screen in order to reload the simulation at a previous save point. But this is the real world. There are no takebacks. There are no mulligans. There is no blue pill. There’s just people like me and Jim Hoft and Jim Geraghty, and we’re grinning at the thought of November.
Oh, the fun we will have…

Democrats? Frantically Scrabbling?

Moe, you mistake this for some rational universe. Democrats are going to try and spin this as the fault of Republicans. Mark my words.

If were going to repeal Obamacare
hickorystick (Diary) Saturday, April 24th at 5:42PM EST (link)we need to have in our hand what we are going to replace it with. Simply cutting down the other side is not good enough. We need to be planners too. The Conservative position is too often pro-industry, with the assumption that the HC interests have our (The People) best interest in mind. They do not. They go to Congress to eliminate competition, not increase it. Democrats promote this because they get a 20% cut out of every health care dollar spent, to give to the poor, and broaden the dependancy base (Hillary admitted the 20% cut portion, in her interview with Bill O’Reilly, in a last ditch attempt to save her “inevitable” nomination).
We need a plan if we expect the movement to last into 2012. We need to make it ourselve’s, rather than take the crumbs R leadership will give us.
None Other Than Dick Morris Warned Them About This...
IJB Saturday, April 24th at 6:37PM EST (link)…But did the Dems listen?! NNOOOOOOO!!!
You think this helps our cause (conservative )?
earlgrey (Diary) Saturday, April 24th at 10:24PM EST (link)I have been thinking today, that everything is so upside down, I don’t know what is up and what is down. Seems like evertying is 180 degrees out of phase. Haters don’t hate, but christians do. Bullying is bad except if the victim is conservative or related to a conservative. Healthcare is a right, but you should only be able to get it from the government.
I just heard today that the mainstream press is saying there are 200,000 coffee partiers, and only about 67,000 tea partiers. Even my vision is bad, I could have sworn I say a river of people on 9/12 in DC.
I can see November from my house. I just can’t quite make it out yet. (see comment on vision above).
Single-payer within three to five years...
LaborUnionReport (Diary) Saturday, April 24th at 10:10PM EST (link)The employer fine is so ridiculously low, employers will dump in a heartbeat.
The public option Obama advocated in 2008, would have taken a longer period to get single payer than this legislation.
