Who cares what a bunch of either failed states (Europe), autocracies and adversaries think of us?

They ALWAYS have disliked us, both before and after we saved them from tyranny.

Gotta recognize this is the media pushing a view of the US, right? When millions stop trying to emigrate to the US, or start emigrating elsewhere, then I’ll worry about the media’s perception (which drives the opinions Rasmussen is polling) of the US.

…And there’s much evidence to suggest that *many* of them like us *less* now.

Conason’s article is so blatantly biased it’s worthless, and that it’s running alongside a Rasmussen “poll” casts doubt on the validity of the poll. The internals of the poll itself, of course, might shed a bit of light on what parts of the poll, if any, are credible, but in any event, who cares?

The very idea that England “likes us better” after the shabby treatment their PM and his wife received here; that Poland “likes us better” after this Administration welshed on our defense agreement; that Israel “likes us better” after the inconceivable public snub of their PM… and on, ad infinitum… is either false, or prima facie evidence that the rest of the world is jerking our chain.
