the House is back up to needing 217 votes to pass health care legislation. Rep. Nathan Deal is going to delay his resignation from the House for three weeks in order to vote no on ObamaCare.

Easter let me look around the nets for that particular statement!

A week after that deadline is Easter recess. The Dems are laying low and not talk about town halls because they are trying not to have them and the leadership desperately wants a vote before their charges go home.

Its August all over again. But they are not going to acknowledge that. But it is the cause of their new sense of urgency. Keeping the Dems isolated in the echo chamber and under the pressure of Rahm, Reid, Pelosi, Obama,… is critical for them to maintain their ranks. They go home and it collapses all over again.

If conservatives were s,art, they pull every stop to get to Easter recess and the base should organize town halls for the Blue Dogs. Their should “mock” Town Halls all across American if the Dems hide from the public.

Oh wait…. Yes they do.

November?

…is easy. It isn’t even a marathon. Heck, even if the Republicans supported the bill, they would be hard pressed to finish work in 2 weeks.

Some of these folks’ seats are in serious trouble, and they are going to need to be out on the campaign trail kissing hands and shaking babies (/). They’re going to want to break for summer ASAP – if we can keep pressure on them until then, we should be OK -

And didn’t Hoyer just say that they needed to at least March 29 … And then Howard Dean came out and said on Bill Press’ radio show, dummer-Care hangs all the Democrats out to dry.

I get the point of the post (as other commenters have already noted), but honestly, haven’t we reached the point where none of the congresspersons supposedly being “pressured”, much less any of us, should be taking any this administration’s “deadlines” seriously?

The only thing we’ll hear about on March 19th is the next meaningless deadline. The only true deadline for this is January 3, 2011.

Isn’t that favoring Christianity over other religions? Won’t that cause Muslims to hate us? Where’s Barry Lynn on TV griping about this?

And besides, if people are dying every day due to lack of health insurance like the Dems claim, why aren’t they meeting around the clock?

Chrissy Mathews wouldn’t get a tingle up his leg but this put a fire in my soul. TOTUS couldn’t do this if it’s dials went to 11.

Democrats are racing the clock to pass health care reform ahead of a wave of Tea Party-driven town hall meetings planned for the spring recess — the kind of gatherings that nearly derailed the package last August.

“If they refuse to attend the town hall meetings, we’re going to have an empty chair with their name on it,” Dooley said. “If they choose not to face their constituents, that’s their decision. I’m sure their constituents will remember that.”

What stops Obama from signing the Senate Health Care bill into law if the House passes it?

All I’ve heard is the banging on about “pass[ing] a second bill filled with “fixes” in both chambers,” and nothing about the House passing the same text legislation as the Senate did. Does that not constitute as a law passing both chambers of Congress, that which the President can sign?
