For the record: I expect and require that the 112th Congress will pay a whole lot more attention to its duties with regard to monitoring and overseeing the Federal Election Commission than the 110th Congress ever did. They can feel free to call the Commissioners in for weekly reports and Q&A sessions, in fact. I suspect that the American electorate – at least, the ones that voted for the 112th Congress’ leadership – will have very strong opinions about them doing that.
