for his “I told you so” after the November elections, i.e., that the reason so many Dems were voted out of office was because they did not do “the right thing” for their constituents by passing healthcare reform.

And it may be that — you know, if Congress decides — if Congress decides we’re not going to do it, even after all the facts are laid out, all the options are clear, then the American people can make a judgment as to whether this Congress has done the right thing for them or not. And that’s how democracy works. There will be elections coming up and they’ll be able to make a determination and register their concerns one way or the other during election time.

Thus Obama and/or future radical presidents could always point to the 2010 elections as proof that the American people really do want their version of healthcare reform.

From reading all of their comments, the “progressives” seem to think that they are just days from a complete win on healthcare “reform”.

Oh, and Shelby is apparently the most evil man in Congress. Not that any Democrats have put their state in the way of passing legislation or such lately. I’m sure I could think of a few..Hang on..

No mention at all of the most simple way to drive healthcare costs down – tort reform that’ll force the ambulance chasing tv lawyers (“we’ll get you every penny you deserve! (minus our 40% cut)”) to practice real law or switch to telemarketing jobs. That’d be too much in line with what the voters actually WANT.
