Thank you for putting a modern face on Socialism.

Thank you for showing America that any Socialist can be just as corrupt as any Capitilist.

Thank you for showing Progressives and the rest of the Democrats there is a line most of the people will not cross. This includes union members who talk about fair play which your back room deals were not.

Thank you for reenergizing Conservatism in America which hopefully will wake up the Republican Party.

Thank you people of Massachusetts for giving the rest of the country a good chance to defeat the Healthcare Reform scam.

The relief I/we feel is incredible. My call: you will see employers hire, consumer spending will begin to increase, and the stocks will rebound more. Wall Street Tax, Healthcare, cap/trade ALL dead. All in due time, and the credit will try to be stolen by the Democrats and the left, when we all know it was the MA election that stopped this socialistic agenda in its tracks. I had the honor of voting for Scott Brown yesterday. I am registered Undeclared in MA which means I am not a Dem or a Rep. For me Brown was the clear choice yesterday based upon integrity as well as the elimination of the supermajority in the Senate. The majority of MA voters are Undeclared/Independent. Personally I have been let down by both parties. I learned yesterday that I am part of the silent no more majority. While I have more in common with the GOP than the current liberal Progressive Democrat party I am angry as hell with both parties. We need less spin in politics and open honest dialogue. Here are some takeaways from yesterdays results.

1. MA has health care reform already but it is a messy expensive beast that needs to be fixed. Anyone listening at the Statehouse?

2. Voters do not want the Senate or House healthcare Bills.

3. It is about Jobs stupid. Scrap health care deform and work on the ‘Main St Economy” that means tax cut not Pork Stimulus Spending Stupid!

4. Empty Campaign Promises will no longer be tolerated.

5. Government needs to re-align their behavior now, today and meet us in the center. The middle class who pays for all their crap need some serious quality time from Washington.

6. Every one in office is on notice! Business as usual won’t cut it.

The Kossacks were alluding to this last night too looking at the breakdowns in Massachusetts. Lots of districts that went for Brown that are ripe for GOP congressional challenges.

I think whoever represents seat around Worcester should be worried too.

Scott Brown will be a rock star in New England and he can help Republicans in CT, NH, and in RI take out Patrick Kennedy. If I were Rob Simmons I’d be trying to replicate this race in CT

Looking at the 4th congressional district in Massachusetts, it is a typical gerrymandered district running from the south shore into Boston. If you superimpose the results map from last night over the 4th CD in Mass., the results are interesting.

NYT’s Change from President 2008 has a statewide D LOSS–in really nice hues of brown, no less!–including -10 in Boston.

(ftr the little white blip in your map, Paxton’s 1 precinct, finally came in at Brown 65%. Lest anyone be holding out hope for Marcia, you know.)

I think there are 2-3 pick up opportunities in Massachusetts this year. If I were Bill Delahunt, I would be peeing my pants right now. Cape Cod went overwhelmingly for Scott Brown, and his district (MA-10) is the least-liberal of all the Mass. districts (only D+5).

John Tierney is in the same boat. The Northeastern tip of the state that he represents went for Brown too, and MA-6 is only a D+7 district.

Maybe there will be others, but MA-6 and MA-10 seem like strong pick up opportunities for the GOP this cycle.
