Well. How reassuring.
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) — Three men were accused in an alleged conspiracy to illegally export nuclear technology to Iran, federal prosecutors said on Wednesday.
The three suspects, a Los Angeles resident and two Iranians, violated trade sanctions imposed on Iran, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

An indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles on Dec. 30 charges Jiraiir Avanessian, 56, a Los Angeles resident, and Farhoud Masoumian, 42, of Tehran, with multiple violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and the Iranian trade embargo, including smuggling, money laundering and other crimes.

A third man, Amirhossein Sairafi of Iran, was charged on Jan. 4 in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in downtown Los Angeles for his alleged role in the scheme.
This is technically via Hot Air Headlines, but the LA Times article that it linked to somehow managed to obscure critical details. It’s a hell of a thing when the press arm of the freaking People’s Republic of China gives you better basic information than a major American newspaper…

Here Is Why The Chinese Press Tells More About Nuclear Sales To Iran
Ausonius (Diary) Thursday, January 14th at 10:55AM EST (link)They are proud to be thumbing their won-tons at us by selling military technology to Iran!
See e.g. :
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/us_china_iran_nuclear;_ylt=AnXGI3EhnSdy.3rmk2GjNBh0fNdF
An excerpt:
“Chinese companies accused of selling missile technology to Iran have managed to get around a U.S. trade ban, with millions of dollars worth of goods from these companies shipped to the United States, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
One Chinese firm, a unit of STATE-OWNED China Precision Machinery Import-Export Corp., has made nearly 300 illegal shipments to U.S. firms since a ban was imposed on CPMIEC and its affiliates in mid-2006, the newspaper said, citing an analysis of shipping records by the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control.”
My emphasis on “state-owned.” The ChiComs know exactly what they are doing here. No accidents, no out-of-control rogue bureacrats at work.
And W. Bush did not do anything to much to stop the Chinese-Iranian connection:

Why the surprise, Moe ?
Kenny Solomon (Diary) Thursday, January 14th at 11:07AM EST (link)Everyone knows it’s the America-and-Israel-hating Eeeeevil Jooooooooooos from J-Street who own the media.
I expect nothing less from America’s media and when the mushroom clouds and gaping holes take the place of my ancestor’s homeland, they’ll blame President Bush and people like us instead of pure evil posing as human beings and themselves for enabling it all.
Even Fox is gettin’ squishy and not fully reporting many things.
As left-leaning as The Age can be (Australian news service) with their commentary, at least they make an effort to report the whole story when they tackle a topic, especially when they take a wire service article. That’s why I keep linking to them with stuff.
The media here are so deeply involved and up the Left’s arses that they may never show an iota of honesty even as their own are being eaten alive by the Statists and Totalitarians.
