Politics is the only profession in which the “Peter Principle” does not apply. The Peter Principle states that a person in business (usually government) rises to their highest level of incompetence. In my business- law enforcement- often went like this; A great police officer is promoted to sergeant where he is found to be good. Then he is promoted to Lieutenant where he performs fairly, then he is promoted to Captain where he can barely get by, and there he sits for the rest of his career, barely functioning and damaging everything around him. Not his fault, it is just how it works.

On occasion, people so bad that they can barely get out of their way in the first place still get promoted. Sometimes is it who they know, or who they contribute to in a campaign, or their special status (gay, female, black, etc.), or they get the job because the guy in charge needs a “useful idiot” in the position. (That means he plans to run the position by remote). Why the DHS? It is the key to persuading the public they need Obama and his leadership against “Terrorist, both domestic and foreign”. With DHS creating lists, what stop Obama from guiding it towards whoever he thinks is a threat, like Tea Party members? Nothing, as we’ve seen in earlier attempts by DHS to float lists with right wing radicals and military veterans as potential terrorists. Luckily, the public isn’t in a mental place where they are ready to believe anything Obama’s crew tells them. But that might not always remain. Everything in life is connected, and those who plan way ahead usually win.

Metro Airport spokesman John Witner said there was a report of suspicious activity on the Delta/Northwest flight 253 from Amsterdam Sunday. That is the same flight number as the flight that a Nigerian man was suspected of attempting to blow up over Detroit on Christmas Day.

All 257 passengers and 12 crew have deplaned safely, said Delta spokeswoman Susan Elliott. The flight landed safely in Detroit at 12:34 p.m. Sunday.

The flight crew requested that law enforcement meet the aircraft after a passenger on the plane became verbally disruptive, said Elliott.

The Associated Press reported that the incident lead to the arrest of a Nigerian man, who is now in custody.

The man boarded the flight without luggage, and was another Nigerian male who went into bathroom and would not come out. Why do we (still) let these people into our country?
