I know he is popular in Indiana (my home state), but this bill is not. Why won’t the repubs put someone against this guy for 2010, a real candidate. He talks one way and walks the other.

What’s the process for challenging this bill in the Supreme Court if it passes? Who has standing? How long would the process take? Why haven’t we been discussing this at all? There’s buzz in the legal community but little here. Isn’t this the next logical step?

It is a fiction that for some reason conservatives have bought into forever. It is ok to vote for Evan Bayh or Jim Webb they are actually conservatives, remember those posts in here? I also found particularly vomit-inducing Ben Nelson’s comments about how tough it was on him to be the 60th vote. Poor guy.

When this passes, I am not sure if there will be enough Jack Daniels in the world to make Obama’s victory speech bearable.

Why in the world are Senator Webb and Senator Warner from Virginia routinely left off the lists of culpable Democrat senators? Virginians have made it very clear that they are against this government takeover of health care being pushed as positive reform. If the recent elections aren’t evidence of that, I don’t know what is. Our new governor traveled the state last year and said without hesitation that the residents are overwhelming against the policies coming out of Washington, especially spending, health care reform, and cap and trade.

Virginia is traditionally and predictably a Red State… it is only now considered purple because: 1) the liberal media were successful in smearing our beloved George Allen and giving us Senator Webb, Senator Mark Warner (D) rode the coattails of longtime but retiring Senator John Warner (R) with name recognition, and the over-educated populace of Northern Virginia gave hope-and-change a chance with Obama.

The nation should be hammering Webb and Warner relentlessly, as they are instrumental in this passage. Had they banded together (and they still can) to represent the desires of Virginians, they could unapologetically say no to this and garner the respect of their constituents.
