Stupak is either stupidly naive or actively obtuse. When the bill goes to conference; i.e., reconciliation; the pro-abortion language will be reinserted, his amendment torn out, and the bills will be voted as a majority (not 60 in the Senate) without change (Senate/House rules) in both houses for passage.

the way the “pro life Democrats” work is the same way the “Blue Dog democrats” work. Pelosi tells them how many votes they have to deliver to pass the bill, they decide which of their group can or cannot afford the vote and they do what they are told. This is just amateur kabuki theater.
