I wonder if the Texas Rangers are hiring.

I understand that they look for this sort of thing.

Sergeant Munley, 34, was unconscious after being shot three times by Hasan and was rushed to hospital after she lost so much blood doctors thought she would die.

She was shot twice in the left thigh and once in the wrist but still managed to bring Malik down with four shots of her own.

Dr Kelly Matlock, who treated Munley in hospital, said: “She opened her eyes and said, ‘Did anybody die?’ That’s what she said.” Sgt Munley has now been told that Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 38 but her actions saved the lives of many others.

Via Hot Air, which also has a rather pointed suggestion about the need for Congressional hearings into the Fort Hood terrorist attack. Turns out that the terrorist responsible for the attack has a link to Anwar al-Awlaki; it would probably be a really good idea to find out just how this kind of breakdown occurred in our domestic anti-terrorism watch.

Moe, I have no faith in Congress whatsoever

to do what is right in any situation. The Dems, the party of appeasement and 9/11 Denial, head all the committees and subcommittees that would be involved in investigating. I think they are overrun with a 9/10 mentality that will get us attacked again. That same mentality is incapable of truthfully and honestly investigating this.

The rest of us have a pretty good idea of what went down in Texas. It is looking like we have a serious fifth column in this country and in our military and my bet is no one in this government can handle this. This failure will only bring us more tragedy.

I’ve never seen a more abjectly craven and irresponsible party than the current Democrat mediocrities.

Government cannot be the solution when government is the problem.

Our anti-terrorist watch appears to have been infiltrated by terrorists

Diabolical.

Government cannot be the solution when government is the problem.

Sgt. Kimberly Munley deserves the Medal of Honor

red_refugee (Diary) Saturday, November 7th at 8:49PM EST (link)

Who cares that she’s not technically “in the service”? She’s definitely an armed servicewoman who deserves, “the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force.”

The main story: ‘Did anybody die?’ - So selfless, very Christian!

Rod_Patrick (Diary) Saturday, November 7th at 8:55PM EST (link)

I saw my wife crying while watching the TV. She was deeply moved by Sgt. Munley.

And I agree. Only selfless, Christian-servant person like Munley would ever do and say such a thing despite her own perils.

She’s probably in pain when she uttered those words.

As an American, I salute you, Sergeant Munley. My family is so proud of you.

Missed It?

rlstarnes Saturday, November 7th at 8:58PM EST (link)

I can hardly believe that it was missed. The real truth is the ACLU would have come down on anyone who made a peep. Silence is acceptance. We as a country are to blame for allowing these kind of people to be protected, and allowing the people who relish in doing so do it. If we don’t start taking back our Country and deporting some folks that hate America we are begging for what they are giving.

Thank God for Kim Munley

and the countless other Americans who put others above themselves. Hearing her story and knowing that there are people like her, restores my faith in the future of our people.

“…it would probably be a really good idea to find out just how this kind of breakdown occurred in our domestic anti-terrorism watch.”

Do we currently have such a thing as a “domestic anti-terrorism watch”? All indications are that we do not.

And if we do, it is shackled by the reigning marxist thought and endemic political correctness disease infecting both our political class and their lap-dog media.

Yes, we are back to 9/10 (n/t)

Don’t you remember, it’s the returning soldiers, conservative leaning Americans and Christians we have to worry about

Webster's Dictionary can take the words away.

All they need after “hero” is Kim Munley’s picture.

Fort Hood should someday erect a statue in her honor.

“The press is so powerful in its image-making role that it can make a criminal look like he’s the victim and make the victim look like he’s the criminal. If you aren’t careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”– Malcolm X, Audubon Ballroom, December 13, 1964

I had not heard about that.

Anti-terrorism watch?

Cargosquid (Diary) Sunday, November 8th at 12:28AM EST (link)

We’re not in the global war on terror anymore. Obama has said that we need to use other language.

Besides, if we can’t even mention that the killer was a radical muslim that possible shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he shot down innocents, attended radical mosques, justified suicide bombing, and basically supported the other side, what makes anyone think that Congress would even come out from cowering in their holes to look that the possibility that there are more traitors like this one out there?

Beyond PC...

Does no one (else) recall that it was a (Muslim) FBI agent who fed evidentiary information to the defense lawyers in the Sami al Arian (spelling, sorry) prosecution? Or that FBI Director Meuller rejected out-of-hand previous questions raised about that agent? Or that it was US JAG officers that kiboshed the apprehension of Mullah Omar when he was still in Afghanistan (or Rumsfeld’s kicking something far enough to score a football victory when he found out Omar had been allowed to vamoose while our military was forced to stand down)?

But at least our CIC has learned discretion since his “police acted stupidly” knee-jerk response to the Harvard prof kerfuffle: He cautioned us to not “jump to conclusions” about an (by all accounts) Islamist sleeper’s terrorist act.

Good Lord, all — everyone grab a mop!
