They have the state-run media running interference when election time rolls around. And senators especially, have six years by which time Rip Van America will have forgotten their deceit.

It’s high time that lying politicians, who are knowingly committing GRAND LARCENY by campaigning under false pretenses to be put on the public dole for life, be held personally and criminally responsible for their behaviour.

Maybe he already has polling showing that he was going to lose next year no matter what, and so decided to tack left to win favor with the Nutroots.

But this guy’s a fool – if he had just stuck to voting ‘No’ on ObamaCare, he would likely have won reelection easily next year, and held the seat for the Dems.

Now, he’s as much as handed this district back to the GOP come Nov. 2010.

She’ll be lying.

But that would be the very smartest thing the liberal RINOs could do: the unspoken (or explicit) message would be “See, if only those conservative wackjobs hadn’t interfered, we woulda had another vote against Obamacare. But following their socon litmus test is just cutting off Republicans’ nose to spite their face. We need more moderates…” She could also cry a few crocodile tears about Owens’ “reversal” — “I believed his pre-election assurances, etc etc”

It’s all bilge, of course. She, too, would have been a solid Owens-like vote for Obamacare; she is not now, and never has been, an “80% with us” kind of gal. But if she — now — claims otherwise, it’d be a very smart bit of political jiu-jitsu.

Owens couldn’t wait to announce the double cross, Scarface Pelosi beckoned, he crawled.
Owens will have another date with Mr Hoffman, quite soon. The only question is whether the water brained dimmies who voted for this slug will either care or even remember.

Knowing politicians, this is probably not any record, but I can’t remember any breaking a campaign promise so fast. Of course there are special circumstances here. Usually there is more time between the election and the swearing-in, and between the swearing-in and the voting on significant issues. Still, Owens really comes off as two-faced.
