And oddly, there is a connection between Jackson Lee and Roxana Mayer’s University of Houston. Namely, Jackson Lee is married to one Elwyn C. Lee, who has a dual appointment as the “University of Houston System vice chancellor for student affairs and University of Houston vice president for student affairs.”

She claims not to know either person.

Pfftt..yeah right.

doesn’t explicitly mention Mayer’s behavior. Kind of like the House healthcare bill doesn’t specifically mention abortion.

I assume it was about Joe the plumber who did not yet have his plumbers license when the media tore him apart for making one comment after the President approached him.
I wonder if the same media will pick up on this like they did for him.

Incidentally JTP does not need a license to be a plumber but I sorta’ think you do need some sort of license to be a doctor.

I am not surprised at the rude comment from Roxana Mayer . Its a way to deflect on you and get you angry in an attempt to change the subject. Old PR Trick.

What is really rude is taking a question from a cancer patient and answer your cell phone to get info on what dignitaries are in the room. When Congresswoman Jackson-Lee was called on it she responded that she wasn’t being rude. Well If SJL was not being rude than she just doesn’t care about the plight of her constituents

I’d rather support educating a plumber than a social worker or sociologist. Plumbers are needed in this country….they are actually productive. Ask Maya who would be more useful to her if she has a break in her water pipes at home…….?social worker ?plumber. And the plumber will charge a good price because he knows his value.

There are so many like this woman who claim academic credentials that they don’t have or ones that are of little use to society anyway. There are many ‘academic programs’ offered today in universities and colleges around this nation that are nonsense…. and cost thousands and thousands.

It does make you wonder.

Since Obama doesn’t hold doctors in high regard, I wonder why this woman thought her opinion as a doctor would hold any water with his followers. Perhaps the sham was to supposed to sway the radical, un-American mob, who is too stupid to know what’s best for them. Either way, she’s a perfect example of how importatnt it is to them that Obama “win” this, regardless of what it means for the country.

I wonder if anyone sought her medical opinion after the meeting, and whether she provided one?
