I say that qualifies as somewhat hateful.

A flying brick, accompanied by shards of flying glass, slams a child’s beautiful, sleeping face. Does it matter what neighborhood? Save the political correctness for later; it’s time for a BOLO, a full-fledged Dragnet and the maximum sentence without parole for the perp.

East San Antonio is fairly mixed and not like that. I’m sure I could you know more about Austin than I do(thank goodness I’ve never lived there). Speaking of neighborhoods that have gone downhill, the area were my grandparents used to live up until 1987. It really bad. Oh I forgot, I live in a bad area here in Spring. It’s not all that safe to walk at night.

Just a passing comment. but as I said in another thread, Cambridge is as liberal as Berkeley and as intense as New York City. And parts are very poor like East Cambridge.

There are few places in America, where cops have a to deal with insane poltical correctness, armies of lawyers and troublemakers like Cambridge. Gates is a racist troublemaker, but he is not the exception. Cambridge is crawling with commies, anarchists, black radicals and whatnot. This is the birthplace of gay marriage.

It took a lot of guts for those cops to draw a line in the sand and say no to the world. We will arrest you if you engage in disorderly conduct. We are not racist. We wont apology. Screw you.

There really is no way to equate Cambridge with East Austin. It has been only a matter of weeks since Austin police shot two black men sitting in a car in East Austin… the facts have been fairly controversial in this case. Cambridge is an upscale neighborhood… East Austin is not.

East Austin is a neighborhood that I would equate with West Philadelphia (at least when I lived there)… a ticking racial timebomb. The fact that this brick was thrown at all was pretty much an act of cowardice… but it was a brick that was the beginning of the Detroit riots in 1967. It was a hot summer. Police raided a blind pig (speakeasy) for about the sixth time only they used their nightsticks and weapons to smash up the place and then arrest the people. People were furious. One brick, than another, then fire…

It’s been a really hot dry summer here in Austin.

Let’s just say that this is one of those things. If it happened to be the same way in San Antonio, with the words “Keep Westside latino,Keep Westside strong”, SAPD would be on this in a minute and Susan Reed’s office would have prosecute the person that did this.

But that still cowardly. Who would of thought Cambridge cops would have more integrity and balls than Austin cops.
