The two new ones:
- Strategic Vision: Jim Geraghty reports that it’s 53-38 Christie over Corzine.
- Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey: 37/49 approval rating for Corzine: only 13% think that he’s accomplished anything.
It looks like the President’s emergency visit to New Jersey accomplished little, if anything, to rescue Corzine from his slump. So is it over? No, or at least not yet: but…
If you begin to read and hear such things as, “Mr. Obama enthusiastically supports Governor Corzine. He and the vice president have appeared with the governor, but he has no further plans to visit New Jersey.” When or if you hear this, then you know that the game is over.

It's Still Too Early
IJB Tuesday, July 21st at 2:20PM EST (link)I can’t remember exactly when NJ polls tend to suddenly shift towards the D, but I think it’s usually in September or even October.
If Christie’s numbers still look like this (or even half as good) on Oct. 15, or even on Sept. 15, I’ll start getting excited.
Until them, I’ll just calmly keep my fingers crossed… :/
