You brought up a great point.
In other countries their billion is our trillion and the words are like how many times they have multiplied six by:
So 1 million has 6 zeros and thier billion (our trillion has) 12, like 2 bi x 6 zeros = 12 zeros.
Their trillion (our quintillion) has 18 zeros like 3 tri x 6 = 18.
Their quadrillion (our septillion) has 24 zeros like 4 quad x 6 zeros =24 zeros.

For here I just think ever 3 zeros it’s another different name not just so many of that word.

Anyone correct me if I’m wrong!

I know, it really is your title stood out to me so much because I love teaching math with literature and out of necessity big numbers are always used with some kind fictional thing.

I have a Merriam-Webster Dictionary , 2004 copyright right at my here on the computer table. I could find trillion in it, no quadrillion, but I think you might be right. It makes sense from tri=3, quad=4.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about these money crooks who are running the government now.

But you know I hope someone can tell me. My higher math thinking is limited (I’m a word person), so I was wondering last night if we have a name for the next step up? We certainly are headed that way. In fact if we added up all of the ones you mentioned, we might be there.

Is there a numbers soul out there who can help me out?

We get another example of the Obama/Biden transparency. The LA Times “Top of the Ticket” blog has noted how much time Biden spends in private meetings.

And we’ve wondered aloud how this Democratic VP’s private meetings with unnamed people on unnamed subjects differs from the private meetings with unnamed people that his evil predecessor had that got so many Democratic senators and representatives worried about nefarious secrets.

According to the White House schedule, Biden will not spend the remainder of the work day in private meetings that are closed press.

Instead: “The Vice President will spend the remainder of the day in meetings that are closed press.”

That’s right – he’s eliminating private meetings by calling them simply “meetings” – still closed to the press of course. Hey, if changing what you call terrorists or Gitmo detainees worked, why not?

Yet Obama supporters are saying the stimulus is working? What do they know? They know they don’t want dear leader to fail. I heard Obama supporters saying give Obama another YEAR to see the stimulus working….Ha, by that time hopefully we can kick out enough dems to take control and repeal the stimulus and close America;s wallet to the Commander in Thief.
