but to my chagrin, cannot find the words to express the inanity of the concept! Does McDermott *want* the lending market in its current form to collapse, or at least significantly shrink? But then, price controls have worked so well in the past.

for the federal govt. to asses tax penalties based on someone's financial condition and cause certain people to pay higher rates but for some reason an insurance co. can't do that based on health concerns...?

Are all speeding tickets the same price?
Are all tax levies the same price?
Are all property taxes the same price?
Are all people eligible for food stamps.?
Can rich people have free public housing?

The federal govt. routinely puts certain types of people into specific categories that qualify for assistance and excludes those people who do not.
What about affirmative action...?
that is clearly a policy that favors one selected group over another without regard for what may be reasonably fair and awards them benefits not entitled to the others.

I would like some food stamps. Why can't I have them when millions of other people receive them every month.
I would love to be able to whip out my govt. debit card every time it comes time to pay for my groceries.
Why am I being dicriminated against...?
