child molestation cases are tough. I prosecuted them for two years (out of 22 so far) and have never had a harder time in trial or lost more cases than I won. Normal people just find it hard to believe that one person can do those kinds of things to another person; trust me, they can and they do.

And another thing – - a not guilty finding by a jury does not mean that the defendant is innocent, especially since many times the jury does not get to hear all of the evidence. It was perfectly stated by someone after OJ was found liable for battery and wrongful death in the civil case brought by Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman’s families: O.J. Simpson is an acquitted murderer.

Michael Jackson was acquitted. That fact does not make him innocent. IMHO, there was way to much smoke for there not to have been a great big fire.

I don’t think Michael Jackson was a pedophile.

By definition, a pedophile is an adult that performs sexual acts on or with children. While Michael Jackson physically was an adult, I don’t think he mentally ever grew out of being a child. Being an entertainment star, he never really had the kind of childhood that the vast majority of the population had, so he never really matured to adulthood. As far as him sleeping with kids in bed, I look at it in much the same way as I would Robin Williams’s character in the movie Jack doing the same thing. I’m not saying that what he did was ok or in any way justifying it, but I don’t think it really technically qualifies as pedophilia.
