Paul Krugman: 40% of America currently traitors.

(Via Sister Toldjah) We should never have let Paul Krugman fester behind that TimesSelect subscriber wall. It broke something inside of him:

But 212 representatives voted no. A handful of these no votes came from representatives who considered the bill too weak, but most rejected the bill because they rejected the whole notion that we have to do something about greenhouse gases.

And as I watched the deniers make their arguments, I couldn’t help thinking that I was watching a form of treason — treason against the planet.

Now, I’m not one who would normally get into a man’s religious beliefs, but any faith that requires you to anathematize what was at last count 40% of the population* as ‘traitors to the planet’ seems to be a very silly faith for a pundit to have, or at least espouse openly. For extra irony? I’ll bet you that if and when Krugman gets muttering drunk, one of his favorite topics of slurred discussion is probably a tirade on the subject of the perfidy of fundamentalist Christians.

PS: Sister Toldjah has more at the link on the topics on the peculiarities of Krugman’s faith, the sudden permissibility of defining dissent as treason, and this administration’s own War on Science.  No reason to reproduce her work.

*Some will no doubt take some comfort from the thought that the omens favor them this month.  Alas, they can’t pass massive tax bills that nobody’s read every month… well, they can, but they’d be stupid to.

Fox Reporting

DerKrieger (Diary) Tuesday, June 30th at 7:53AM EST (link)

Fox is having the guy from the EPA whose report throwing cold water on AGW was suppressed. IMO a government agency that falsifies research in pursuit of a eco-Marxist agenda is ‘traitorous”.

“In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” – Thomas Jefferson

“I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” – James Madison

Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience.” — John Locke, 1690

Krugman a Nobel Experiment

Krugman and Obama remind me of Post Turtles:

When you are driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that is a post turtle.

You know he did not get up there by himself, he does not belong up there, he does not know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put him up there to begin with. (The dummies are his handlers the Socialist and media elitist.)

Krugman will flare out and be gone. He is a political diminutive.

Paul Krugman has just become another shill

for the Left and , in my opinion , is damaging his legacy as far as his
past work in economics. His current work is nothing but an attempt to
support socialist economic policy and it fails miserably.
The NYT has shut down comments on this particular article but the comments have been very interesting. If you disagree with the Global Warming crowd you are everything from an idiot to a traitor to your country or the planet even. It is no longer OK to disagree with them, it’s now approaching a crime to do so. And the attacks against those who do disagree are beyond the pale. Other scientists who might disagree are afraid to even say anything as they see others being ostracized by their peers, their careers damaged or even ruined. The same with politicians who try and speak out.
Everyday more and more people are starting to doubt the Global Warming story and this has them worried which has the politicians on the Left worried hence the push to get the climate and energy bills rushed through Stimulus Style before the general population
figures out just how badly they are being screwed.

Intro to Federalist Papers; section 5;
paragraph 4.
“…dangerous ambition more often lurks behind the specious mask of zeal for the rights of the people than under the zeal for a firm and efficient government.”

Hillary Clinton’s tirade in which she screeched “We have a right to debate or disagree with ANY administration!”? Now that the shoe is on the other foot, such disagreement, especially in the face of underwhelming science, is traitorous?

Like they say, if it weren’t for double standards, the Left wouldn’t have any standards at all!

Shrill Rhetoric

DonPMitchell (Diary) Tuesday, June 30th at 3:17PM EST (link)

I mostly believe the climate models about global warming, but I was still disturbed by Krugman’s wording. The left is quick to invoke the concept of Thought Crime.

I think we’ve been relatively lucky that have intelligent economics with practical experience at the helm during our crisis — Paulson, Bernanke, Geitner. I know many folks disagree with them, but imagine how much worse it would be if instead we had some academic like Krugman or some whacky ideologue like Ron Paul in charge.
