You could add up the people who read this site and every other political blog, right or left, and not even put a dent in then number of people who dove right into the Jackson stuff.

I appreciate his talent and the controversy, too, but that doesn’t rank anywhere near issues such as Iran, health care, etc.

But hey, to each his or her own.

It’s going to be interesting to observe the foreign policy approaches as Western Europe sidesteps to the right.

European conservatism is starkly different from what we see in the United States, but it does represent more aggressive foreign policy positions.

America is The Great Satan because we are the iconic juggernaut of the West, but the country has a particularly nasty history with Britain.

On the other hand, you may be right that it’s a simple matter of the embassy being within arm’s reach.
