So in duke’s analogy the employee is required to treat the boss with dignity, but dignity is not expected in the boss’s relations with the employee. That seems odd to me.

Explain to me at what point basic dignity and respect stopped being expected of everyone regardless of their position.

Moe: No, I do not think that Grayson [was entitled to] push around that guy. I neither said nor implied anything of the sort.

It is not possible that the exchange would have had a better result if it had begun in this manner:
Congressman, how are you tonight, sir?
Well, I’m fine, and why are you videotaping me?
Well I just had a couple of questions for you, sir, and I’d like to post the video on my blog.

Instead [and this is the great irony of this video], the videotaper refuses to answer Grayson’s question. Granted, Grayson ultimately acted inappropriately [and the guy in front of the door is a fool], but the entire exchange is nothing more than a “gotcha!” moment and is completely meaningless other than giving people a chance to say, “Oooooo, look at the Democrat being rude.” Who cares? What does this achieve? How does it advance any sort of debate?

Grayson may have cornered the market on shoving the cameraman, but there are probably dozens of other congressmen of both parties who would also act rudely when approached in this manner.

I’m done. This video deserves no more of anyone’s time, and a group of adults should not find themselves in an argument over the Golden Rule. This is the stuff of first graders.

I’m merely the guy giving this a bit more of an airing.
