The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 32% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-four percent (34%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -2. That’s the President’s lowest rating to date and the first time the Presidential Approval Index has fallen below zero for Obama (see trends).
Oh, it’ll go back up tomorrow or the next day. That is the nature of these things. Meanwhile…

I’m suspect most presidents start out pretty high then drop off over time, I’m just not sure how fast Obama is falling off, historically. With the media cheerleading he has been getting, It may be reading higher than it actually is.

rbdwiggins (Diary) Sunday, June 21st at 10:43AM EST (link)While the actual numbers will vary from day to day, the latest numbers seem to reflect a continuing negative trend that has to be very troubling for the Obama Administration.
Extrapolation and interpretation indicate that many former Obama supporters who self-identify with the mushy middle have begun to abandon the sinking ship.
Time will tell precisely how fast the ship is taking on water, but the list is certainly noticeable. With only five months into the Obama presidency, righting the ship and returning to port for repairs may prove to be a monumental task. Making the ship ready for another voyage appears at this stage to be a bridge too far.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
