Although I will confess I miss the flourish with which Moe usually dispatches people on this one. I know Moe, they aren’t worth the effort. But aren’t we?

Why? Because of a bunch of self-proclaimed “leaders” with Rs after their name will let them. In fact, you can rest assured that one of the media’s favorite conservatives (Meg McCain et al.) will write something within the week that will A) explain how the firing was justified and B) say “who cares?” Republicans have done the same and worse.

B, of course, will be the only permitted topic on the state-run media’s Sunday shows and nightly news.

Having said that, the blatant interference by the administration in the IG system, especially when it involves a major campaign donor, should be a cause for alarm on Capitol Hill, and not just Grassley and Mccaskill.
