Walpin said that the White House had called him several times recently about his support for Sotomayor — since Walpin’s considered a “conservative.”

In fact, the White House had called enough that Walpin thought the termination call was going to be just another consultation on the Supreme Court nominee. He was stunned.

So let’s get this straight:
POTUS and the gang wanted to consult with Walpin to bolster the Supreme Court nominee. That seems to imply that Walpin’s opinions were cogent.

But then, Walpin was thrown under the bus as to his professional abilities — with nothing less than an ageist accusation.

A cynic might think that POTUS wanted to keep calling Walpin to make him feel a little more warmly toward that administration. But maybe Walpin didn’t feel sufficiently warm to drop his investigation of KJ, and that ultimately did him in.

The Obama touch:
From consultant to pariah within days or weeks.

Yuk.

On the occasion in question, he was asked by the Board to leave the room for 15 minutes while they argued amongst themselves. Upon his return, he found his papers all out of order.

This led directly to the presumed confused state.

for calling Walpin “confused and disoriented” then Obama ought to listen to himself when the TOTUS isn’t around. On his trips to Europe when he had that press conference with Geman PM Merkel I swear I saw her smirk a time or two when he answered questions with his typical off-TOTUS “um… err… (lenghty pause)…ahhh’s”.

Older people may not have the immediately at hand, but that doesn’t make them incompetent or liars. Often times people are great speakers, but have no real brains or integrity. (You know who I mean…)

Just because Walpin may have been searching for words a time or two does not make him confused — it makes him human. Walpin got the shaft because he was making honest (but unfairable) observations about the organization he was charged to oversee. Obummer should be ashamed of himself, but he has no shame.

As has been said earlier, where’s the AARP? It seems like either AARP is not up to speed, or has sipped the Kool Aid…

and notified them that I didn’t like when President Bush gave preferential treatment to his cronies and I find it quite hypocritcal that the nation voted for CHANGE only to find that the same ole same ole is happening. Both of my Senator’s are Democrats and both of their phone personnel shared the fact that they are getting numerous calls about this and that the Senate is looking into it. I am no sucker and I can tell you these two young people were telling the truth….CALL YOUR SENATOR’s ….it is stupid things like this that nip at the heels of Presidents….so get to it!

That’s The Big 0′s minion Walpin held accountable, not a Republican. Jeesh! Where have you been?

But yeah, anybody anywhere in the HR chain of command at a regular job would be having a heart attack any of the corporate officers had publicly said what The Big 0 did. Most of the other corporate officers would be too. I imagine the same thing would apply in most unelected government offices too.
