The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee called for hearings on the mounting piracy threat as the fate of an American cargo-ship captain remained in limbo Thursday.

“These acts of piracy off of Somalia’s coastline may seem surreal, but they’re all too real and a thorough policy debate is long overdue,” said Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) in a statement. “When Americans, including at least one from Massachusetts, are endangered, you’ve got a complicated and dangerous international situation brewing, and that includes questions about a hot-pursuit policy on Somalia’s coastline.”"

Send in John in his old Swift Boat to hand them pirates a subpoena.

After watching that, I may have to have another kid, just to name him (or HER!) after this guy.

Regarding the “fairness” doktrine: I’m an electrical engineer in his early 50′s, never been in trouble with the law (one youthful indiscession and a few speeding tickets aside). I am still wondering why Rush waited until today to address his comments to Obama during his trip to Washington some time ago. It was the time when George Will set up the dinner with Obama. You know, now it sort of makes sense why they may have went after Rush? I do not know, I am just puzzled as to why Rush would keep us in the dark on this one, or was he joking today.

I am having problems with Redstate quite often and it relates to diaries reverting back to older ones. That is when I quick on a link back to one of the front page diaries I have noticed that it reverts back to the page from earlier today. Also, this happens quite often with the front page as well and I can not figure out what is going on with the IE or setting that could be causing this.
