Time and again liberal Democratic policies are destroying blacks and keeping them in poverty from the breakup of traditional families, to welfare dependence, to putting teachers’ unions over children.

The GOP needs to go on a minority outreach offensive and this is as good of an issue as any with which to start. But instead of going on race-baiting liberal talk shows like Hughley’s, we need to pick a set of issues that affect blacks and have every Republican politician pound these home at every opportunity making explicit mention of how this affect minorities.

And Durbin is pretty much the poster child on this. He also wants to eliminate free speech (at least for conservative talk radio) – not openly via the (un)Fairness Doctrine, but through the backdoor, under the radar, via “localism” and “diversification.”

Mr. Obama has a HUGE obligation to stop this crap, or forever be deemed a hypocrite, having chosen to send his own precious little African American girls to the most selective private school in Washington. Another example of do what I say, not what I do. It’s getting really, really old…
