Pastors and central leadership seem to be so scared of anything policial though. That would be the key place to get this going, put something in the church bulletin and announce it from the pulpit. This is where many people spend their time volunteering.

Church can serve lunch and off we go. Most churches have vans too that will help with parking headaches.
If it's Sat or Sun, churches can provide childcare too. That will get more women involved.

I learned about it in school. I didn't understand it like I do now but I learned about no free lunch and we compared communism vs capitalism and saw the dangers of it, like people's incentive to work will go away and gov controlling business and the less freedom of religion and basically it is evil. We studied the early Americans and how people basically fought for independence from government in their lives and freedom of religion. I did not understand why anyone would want a gun or how the 4th Ammmendment works (I thought of gov was the electric man that worked for the city, why not have him in your home? ) but I was taught about the right to bear arms and a man's home is his castle. (I thought the redcoats were gone so why do we need a gun? ) :D
We learned freedom freedom freedom but I really did not understand the difference. I thought most of was tied to religion (the bad Communist in China that made Christians hide) and we were blessed to be able to have church without persecution. Also will civil rights we learned about the real thing and how the leaders also taught it was tied to responsibility.

I grew up seeing politicans involved and helping. They had offices in the neighborhoods and people could go there if they had a problem with a gov office and they would help them resolve it. I remember one showing up at fundraiser for a school trip. His office paid for all of our passports too. I saw politicans someone would a doctor or a lawyer dedicated to helping others. I thought they cared and worked hard to serve us. It is a 180 from there here in FL. I don't know if things have changed or just this area is corrupt politically?

So much has changed now that I can't teach the same things to my son. He has great textbooks but we have experienced our rights being violated by government. I teach him he has these rights but he knows the government breaks them. I don't know if we should teach it in past tense, these should be our rights but the gov has changed? It's sad. :(

unless you learned about socialism/communism at home or on your own. The whole communist influence in the "progressive era" and in the union movement is either glossed over or not talked about at all as history and government students are taught that it was all a good thing in reaction to Robber Barons and evil monopolies etc. The Cold War to the extent talked about at all is glossed over as a geopolitical struggle with the US seeking to impose hegemony and the Soviets backing countries that resisted the US. You can get through high school and college (taking only required history) and the only thing you'll hear about communism is how the evil Sen. McCarthy, a Republican, went after poor actors because he thought they were communists. Therefore, communists must be good.

The word "socialism" doesn't seem to have the same impact with today's America as it had when I was growing up (I'm 50). I think that's why the messages during the campaign never resonated, especially with the younger generations. All they heard was that they would have their taxes cut, and the government was there to take care of them. Messages about the debt we've burdened our children/grandchildren with ARE resonating, and so will the messages you suggest in your comment. But as you said, the proof will be in the pudding - when they start actually LIVING the consequences of this election, there will be no more denial. Of course, by that time it will be too late.....

is up on DrudgeReport. That will bring in attention. Also, the comments are pointing out the fallacy of complaining about the expense of the Iraq war compared to the Stimulus.

Is anyone out there providing a central clearing house to publicize, distribute post-event photos and attendance numbers. Fill up YouTube. Give Boehner, Cantor, Pence and the other conservatives ammunition showing mass disagreement with Obamunism and the Chosen One. I'm sure the various radio show hosts would at least mention up-coming events.

Need to plan Tea Parties in Blue Dog districts and districts of squishy Republicans to remind them that we do care about the spending...despite Schumer's claim.

We need a symbol that is instantly recognized at rallies, in photos and can be shown anywhere...I like the Gadsden flag (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadsden_flag)

Need Tea Party signs or Gadsden flags popping up at every Tea Party and every public appearance by the Chosen One and the various Demogogue leaders.

I plan to purchase a Gadsden flag to fly at home, and am trying to find a bumper sticker vendor.

I thought most of the republican base was suppose to be white, uneducated, i.e not college educated, uncoothed, gun loving rednecks from the south. Thats according to the MSM at least.

As for this protest and maybe even civil disobedience thing, I am sure that when we put our minds to it we will outperform the Left in a heartbeat. Come on it took us less than 2 weeks to get where we are now, so I say just wait and see and do what you can even if it is only the money thing.
