I really hate to take up anything that supports Byrd. That said, he is right here and I would just hope that the States would take up the 10th amendment with equal enthusiasm.

while I agree with the intent of the bill, giving sufferage to the some 600,000 residents of D.C., I simply can't get around the constitution. The only legal way to do it would be a constitutional amendmant which would probably pass but would be much harder to do. I feel pro-DC opponents are trying to take the easy quick method instead of the decade long amendmant process. At least with an admendmant the state could be given Senate Representation as well.

then neither should the states or governors.

Each state is now a republic since Obama has shreaded
the Constitution. I would rather pay what I paid the Feds
in taxes directly to my state. Let's see how long the blue
states would last in an economic civil war.

and it triggers"Constitution" in that rat maze of a brain. Otherwise it's play doh.
One reason why the new Kitchen Cabinet is being formed by the Big O is it gives him a little more of what his shady self craves, cover, executive privilege, just another sandbag to hide behind.
The opposite of being open.

We all should agree that the Constitution needs to upheld. The Constiution as it is written and amended that is.

Byrd is right that we should not have an Imperial President regardless of his (And one day her/Sarah's) party.
