Got it. Great moral certainty = bad.

The one guy who can get us out of this??? How does Lupica know that? Moral certainty in defense of The One is no vice to the O fan club.

The only reason – and I mean ONLY reason I watched was because he was on SportsCenter, and I watched SportsCenter. He was as smug and arrogant an ass as he is now, but the only diifference is that ESPN wouldn’t put up with his narcisstic, juvenile crap and fired him in the dead middle of a broadcast.

He is now simply a parody of himself, and will die forgotten, alone and insane with his Mom’s cats feeding on his decomposing body.

And in case you aren’t clear, I disagree with your assessment.

I’m sure that contradiction is apparent even to this sportswriter. The Olbermann crack up happened a long, long time ago. He made his early bones by denying the media was biased to the left and now hosts a vile and little-watched leftist propaganda screed. Olbermann never saw the contradiction and he still doesn’t.

I mean, it takes a lot to make Don Imus angry, but one of the ways you can do it is to completely lose the thread of a discussion that you started and go off on completely nebulous tangents without answering any direct questions. It was a shock to hear Imus have to smack Lupica down, but he did.

Now if Don Imus has to do it, we do too, friends.

Occasionally I travel into the greater metropolitan New York City area while I’m scanning the stations I listen to Don Imus’ show. He had Lupica on a while back and the amazing thing is that Lupica was able to even annoy Don Imus with what a tool he sounds like when he tries to discuss politics.

Quite honestly, Mr. Lupica should stick to doing just that.

The man “gets it” when talking about the Yankees – somehow, he has the history in his blood (I may live in Flori-duh, but I was hatched in Noo Yawk and Da Bronx Bombaz is me boyz).

He’s got a few VERY good sports books and my Sundays are not really complete unless I watch at least some of ‘The Sports Reporters’.

Beyond that, Mr. L. and me – we’ve met a few times at a certain top-level country club in Westchester NY…… Yo Mikey: As much as we’re all free to express your opinions (for now) and you have the semi-national outlet to do so – when it comes to politics, I honestly wish you’d keep it to yourself.
