It’d be a bit of a surprise to me if he did – I’ve heard a bit about the man, but nothing along those lines – but he’s a Democrat being considered for a Cabinet post (Commerce*), so you’ll understand why I’m asking.

PS: Harold Ford does not have a “Merrill problem.” There are apparently people who are making it a point to make sure that this is known, so I thought that I’d just pass it on.
*Otherwise known as the “fugu fish of the Obama Cabinet.”

RC (Diary) Saturday, February 14th at 5:37PM EST (link)He was a vice chairman for Merrill Lynch in 2007, shortly before that company went down the tubes (because it followed the wishes of liberals like Ford). He also failed the Tennessee Bar Exam and he married someone who does PR for a fashion company.
Ford may not have tax problems. But his dad was indicted for bank fraud and mail fraud (only getting off of the charges due to massive gaming of the system). His uncle is in jail for bribery. And if it were possible to convict the others in Memphis, most of his family would be in jail for corruption.
Sounds like a heck of a pick, BO
