And it clearly states beneath the signature line that he's attesting he's paid the taxes he requested reimbursement for. So it's tough to believe that Geithner's was an accounting "accident." But I think the real reason Daschle fled the field wasn't that he had tax problems, but the source of income he hadn't paid taxes on. Millions in "consulting" fees? Really? Gifts from failing banks? Really? So much for Obama's clean, transparent, and lobbyist free administration.
