“Scaring people is not leadership.”

Marvel at the day: here is Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) beating President Barack Obama (D) with a club that I didn’t even know he had any more. As Allahpundit notes, there’s something weird about seeing Graham and Michelle Malkin using the same language. And me, come to think of it: the President is fear-mongering. I wonder why?

“If this is bipartisanship, count me out.” No, you haven’t entered into another dimension where Bobby Jindal has a beard: he really said that. Strange days, huh?

Good News!!!

The Purple Barney is shooting all new episodes in HD!!!

Thank God my kids are too old for that now…..

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Great one Kenny....this one still rings true today.....

I give credit where credit is due and I too was amazed by this

Elizabeth Christian (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 6:23PM EST (link)

I heard Lindsey Graham all fired up this morning – and I actually agreed with most of what he said (which is rare) and John McCain – he has been a maverick against Obama and the left – I guess there was some change in D.C. (but that part is good change). I am proud that the GOP is standing strong together at this time – I pray that if this mess passes the dems own it but I hope it is stopped.

What was on C-span it was going to something new when I cut it on there???

“I pray that if this mess passes the dems own it”

I know Lindsey Graham growing a spine makes it feel like an alternate dimension, but no, we’re still all here, stuck in reality. The dem legislators owning up to a mistake would be like Blago admitting it’s a hairpiece.

I can wish can't I ; )

Elizabeth Christian (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 6:44PM EST (link)

not them owning up to it – but GOP not voting for it – the Americans can play pin the tail on the donkey when it is this bad (I hope they can) ; )

I really hope so, and I'd like to think so...

but our “Press” has historical revisionism down to an art, and the public tends to just kinda swallow that stuff. Even in the face of the evidence of their own senses and memories.

Scaring people apparently is leadership to some.

Kenny Solomon (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 6:29PM EST (link)

Moe, I’ve seen this scare-tactic before in private-sector business. Management by threat is what I call it. I walked away from a position with 3 weeks to make 20 years because of this type of “leadership” – big reorganization was going on and I was transferred to a location with an Ops Manager who knew zero about what I did but would tell me multiple times every day how to do it all. I said “enough” and “no more” very quickly. I’m worth far more than sticking it out just to get a fake-gold-plated $2 watch with a piece of paper saying “congrats on 20″.

Scary thing is, there are some folks who actually like what Teh Mess-I-Yah is saying – They want to be taken care of fully by President Government and his Socialist minions.

So you discovered the Obama-Chavez way

10ksnooker (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 6:39PM EST (link)

This is how Obama works, push off the responsibility on others, vote present every time you can. Chavez tries to run his failing country the same way.

That’s why the bootlick Democrats fall over themselves to kiss Chavez’s ring.

Demagogues scare people, leaders lead.

Pork = Pigs

texas214 (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 7:02PM EST (link)

I’m not sure which is a better symbol for the Denocratic Party at this point, the donkey or a pig. The donkey is a hardheaded and dumb creature, while the pig is…, well a pig.

All the descriptions are appropriate, but the pig is starting to win with this “stimulus package”.

Wow. That was Lindsey Graham?

Praying (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 9:05PM EST (link)

I mean he was awesome – I was so impressed after everything I’ve heard about him. And yes, McCain has stepped up and is doing the right thing too (today, at least). My husband and I both just said we need to send them an email to say “thanks”. It’s kinda like dealing with a kid with ADHD – you have to make sure you reward POSITIVE behavior. So if you have a sec, call and leave a message or drop them an email. I’m sure they’ve gotten enough nasty grahams – er – grams in the past few months that they will appreciate this, and it might encourage them to keep it up. No guarantees, but I’m willing to try anything. Now if we could just do something about the Maine menaces.

No!!!11!1!!1!1! The Bilderbergers are coming

My thoughts as well. Graham is right on target here...

conservativemusician Thursday, February 5th at 10:38PM EST (link)

But he is going to screw up again on other major legislation down the road – illegal immigration comes to mind – so we will need to constantly keep up the pressure on him, McCain, and other RINOs. The stakes are too high not to. I’m cautiously hopeful that this pork bill will fall apart over the weekend if other Senators on both sides are as ticked off as Graham.

I think that the longer this thing is drawn out, the pressure Obama is putting on everyone is going to matter less and less because the people are speaking very loudly against it now as they learn more about all the wasteful spending in the bill. Thank God that we the people still do have a voice and that the politicians are starting to listen…and way to go Senator Graham. Keep fighting for us.

The Messiah finds an excuse to take Air Force One for a "joy ride."

Vegas_Rick (Diary) Thursday, February 5th at 9:09PM EST (link)

I heard Obama tell the assembled House [socialists] democrats that he was happy to be there, but he really just needed an excuse to take his new ride for a spin.

I guess if you think the American people are happy with you for spending one trillion dollars, American to socialize the country, taking Air Force One for a joy ride doesn’t seem like much of an extravagance.

I don’t like to play the populist, but one has to wonder how this plays with folks who are struggling to buy gas to get to work.

Outta the Park Lyndsay!

The One confessed “I screwed up” when he couldn’t pick anyone trustworthy for HHS. When as Nancy’s porkulus package sinks he will just do more interviews and articles blaming the armageddon on Republican partisanship.

This guy’s (BO’s) style is more than laughable. He’s trying to community organize the United States Senate for God’s sake.

Lindsey Graham....

I never have agreed with Sen. Graham so much… it’s kind of scary.

Whatever the Democrats on the Hill have done to even get people like Lindsey Graham ticked off at them, man….

Keep the pressure up GOPers in Congress, you have a lot of support out here from the grassroots.
