Excellent news: David Duke LOATHES the Steele pick.

Which I only found about because of the trackback from the Hot Air story on Obama’s new torture policy to a Moderate Voice post that happened to link to this Jack & Jill piece that mentions it.  Hey, did you know that there’s a David Duke wing of the Republican Party?  Hey, it must be true: I just read it on the Internet and everything.  How we balance that with, say, our supposed subservience to the International Zionist Conspiracy… well, I’m sure that they’ll figure it out eventually.

We might as well make this an open thread: I’ve pretty much exhausted the possibilities of the ostensible subject matter at this point.

nothing to do with Paul

Princeliberty Sunday, February 1st at 7:41PM EST (link)

You are bringing up the old slander calling Paul a racist.

That was false nonsense. Slander does advance the conservative cause.

Who cares about Duke anyway. Lets talk about Obama warfare on our military and Gregg defection to Obama – stuff that matters.

Princeliberty

And discussions about RonPaul do nothing to advance

mbecker908 (Diary) Sunday, February 1st at 7:53PM EST (link)

conservatism either. The Congress and the Republican Party will both be better places when he goes to TX to stay. The jerk has been in Congress for more than 20 years with absolutely not one accomplishment to his name. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Always voted against bigger government.

For 20 years he has always voted against bigger government.

Also, in any case its slander and nonsense to call him a racist.

Princeliberty

And in 20 years he made not one convert in the Congress.

mbecker908 (Diary) Sunday, February 1st at 8:54PM EST (link)

He just sat on his ass and voted no. He didn’t even try to make incremental progress and build a coalition to work on reducing the size of government. He just voted no, collected his salary and did absolutely nothing for the party or the country for twenty years.

If you actually think that is an accomplishment you’re an idiot.

As far as him being a racist, he seemed to have absolutely no problem taking money from white supremacist groups, no problem having links to his website for contributions on their websites and he said nothing critical of them. Is he a racist? I don’t know and I don’t care. I do know that his presence in the Congress, with an “R” by his name is patently offensive to most conservatives.

Words cannot describe how pleasant it was...

…to turn that vote-for-the-crook line around and use it in Cao’s recent campaign. Like “Fitzmas,” there is something deeply satisfying in using such a useful agitprop line against the people who created it…

Not even SuperBowl Sunday is a day of rest from politics

Scope (Diary) Sunday, February 1st at 6:00PM EST (link)

Does anyone remember ever having a president push his policy within 1 hour of a Super Bowl game. And, it’s the only channel it’s on. Imagine that. Keith Olberman and Matt Lauer on Super Bowl Sunday? It is way far beyond the saturation point for me. Then again, I guess this is Obamas payback for his boys, after all he couldn’t put them in the stimulus bill by name.

Probly the same year it became

It is too large and disrupts discussions because it gets in the way.
